Omg. I can't believe I haven't updated for 5 years. 5 years? O.o and I re-read the story. The amount of grammar mistakes… but yeah. This is the new chapter. Thanks to everyone who kept reading and reviewing. And if anyone here will read this chapter, then I hope you enjoy it

SUMMARY:

Voltire the king of the Phoenix land killed Rei's father when Rei was a child. When he grew up, the war ended, Voltire escaped and they got prince Kai to be Rei's slave. Tala is trying to get back the country with surviving soldiers and avenge his beloved Kai and falls in love with Bryan who had to leave since he didn't belong to the land. He finds that Kai is alive. In the other hand, Lee reads a book about a gold eye frame with a crimson gem. He reads it would give him control and desires to try it not knowing that his father is planning to give Rei the title of the crown prince.

Testament.

"what is this?" he asked as he grabbed the necklace from the slate haired slave examining it"

"give it back to me" the slave tried to reach for the necklace but he kept it out of reach.

An eye… a golden frame, and a blue gem

Lee woke up with a gasp "that's right. That's it… but the book stated a crimson gem" he sat quickly grabbing the book "crimson gem… gold eye frame. The slave had it around his neck" his eyes narrowed "could it be? Could he be the one who made the sacrifice? That makes sense. He has it. My uncle was the sacrificed innocent. It had to be that way… and the color…. Why is it blue?" he shook his head "why?" he flipped the pages "black and red. White and blue. You choose the color and you choose the destiny. To purify or to stain. It's all about the sacrifice" he grits his teeth "that damn mother fucker" he growled "I'll show him. I'll show him what he did to my uncle"

He angrily threw the book aside and walked to Rei's room. When he couldn't find him, he walked to see his father, hearing that he was talking to Bruce about the throne, he didn't enter

"My son… he won't make it. He'll think only about himself. Rei… he's the perfect king for this country"

Rei? The king? But… what about me? I AM your son. I can't believe you don't trust me that much. I can't believe you prefer your nephew than your own son

When the sun rises from the west and shines darkness is the day when the eye of sacrifice sacrifices a pure human with wings of fire. The blood of purity can destroy and control.

Once they were inside, Kai was going to walk away with the bag of tomatoes "where?" Tyson asked

"I was going to put them in the kitchen"

"No no" Tyson said smiling "let me take them" he said taking the paper bag and walking with them to Rei's room "these tomatoes are good"

"They're just tomatoes Tyson" Rei said with a sigh and Kai smiled

"Perhaps it's the seller"

"Of course, Kai knows me better than anyone" Tyson said smiling and Ray laughed

"Alright" he pulled out another outfit and gave it to Kai "take that robe off and wear this" Kai took the long royal blue and black robes and black pants then smiled at Rei. He opened his mouth and Rei quickly said "don't thank me. Just go change in the bathroom" he sighed watching Kai get in the bathroom "I'm confused Tyson. When I treat him fine, I feel mad and I remember my father. But when I treat him wrong. I feel guilty. Guilty that he has nothing to do with all this"

"mhmm" Tyson said smiling grabbing another tomato "and how does he feel when you treat him good?"

"I… I am sure he likes it"

"you sure?" Tyson asked taking a bite of the juicy fruit "and when you treat him wrong?"

"I don't know. I never thought about it. But now that you asked… one would think that he would feel hurt, or angry or something like that. But… there's this strange submission in him. Like… like he doesn't blame me much about what I'm doing. Like he… understands"

Tyson nodded "Kai knows what a bad life is. He understands it. But who knows? Maybe your assumptions are wrong"

"you know something, don't you Ty?"

Tyson smiled "I don't. I'm just expecting so-" he cleared his throat when Kai entered "expecting something. Like a big birthday party for Hilary or something" he said changing the subject. Rei smiled then looked at the door "open it" he told Kai after he heard knocking and Kai obeyed

"My prince. You're uncle needs you. Immediately" a maid said and he nodded "I'll come in a bit" he walked out leaving Kai who stared at him with worry and Tyson eating another tomato.

"uncle Lee?" he stood at his uncle's chamber and knocked. He blinked when Lee opened the door to him and put his finger on his own lips indicating that he should be silent. Rei nodded and entered just then Maria came and gasped. Lee placed his hand on her mouth muffling any screams

"he's very sick. Be quiet" she nodded through her tears and walked in.

"Maria" her father started "I'm so happy and proud of what you became. A lady. Beautiful and sweet. I pray life treat you kindly. And… I have decided with Bruce that you marry his son, Hero"

"father… I" she shook her head "I don't know him" I love Rei.

"we need him to keep our alliance with the dragon land. We need their help"

She bit her lower lip, not wanting to upset her father in his ill state

"Lee" he said turning to his son "you are a strong man. Passionate and would do anything to get what you want. This is a strong point in you"

Lee didn't say anything. But when he saw the hand reaching for his, he took his father's hand gently

"Lee… please protect your family! Your sister and your cousin." He coughed "I… I will leave the military matters in your hand. You're a great tactic and warrior" he sighed when Lee didn't say anything. He just stared at him. He knew, Lee was waiting for what he has to say to Rei

"Rei" he turned to the young prince "come closer" Rei walked closer so he was at his right shoulder side. The dying king took off his ring and gently reached for Rei's hand.

"no" Rei gasped with wide eyes. He took a step back "no uncle. I can't"

"don't…" he coughed "don't let me die before I do this Rei"

"but Lee…. He's your son. He's the oldest of us here. And I… I don't want this responsibility. I can't rule. I can't take the sake of all Tiger's land people on my shoulder. Please uncle"

"give me your hand Rei" his uncle insisted and Rei looked down and reached his hand where his uncle placed the ring and closed Rei's hand so he's clutching it "tomorrow. You will go to the phoenix land. Talk to them. Get them to join the tiger land. Help them live. Rei… this is not an easy task." Rei nodded "there's a group. Led by their fallen knight Tala Ivanov. If you could get through them. Return… and this kingdom is yours to rule. If not… then-" he turned to Lee "then at that case, your cousin would be dead. And I'd leave the kingdom in your hands Lee. Please. Please don't disappoint me if this happens"

"NO! WAIT" Lee cried holding his father's other hand. But the hand went lifeless. He bit his lower lip as he saw his father's face. Mouth slightly open and eyes not blinking.

"FATHER" Maria cried on his chest and cried and Lee clutched the hand tighter and grit his teeth.

Rei looked at the ring in his hand with horror and shook his head. No… no… why? Why did his uncle decide that? Why did he have to do that? He looked at Lee and softly called his name

"NOT A WORD REI"

Rei flinched and Lee glared at him through his tears

"my father's last words were his testament. He trusted YOU. He trusted YOU to rule the country. But fine" Rei looked down "go prepare your clothes for the trip. Tomorrow, you will go to the Phoenix land"

"Lee… I want to stay for the funera-"

"THAT was an ORDER!" Lee said and Maria looked at them with worry

"Lee. Not in front of my father"

"our father is DEAD" he said, his voice quivering "we are mature enough to get that" he looked at Rei "GO!" he ordered again "according to his will, I am the ruler until you come back with SUCCESS"

Rei looked down then nodded "understood" he left wiping the tears entering his chamber. He found Bruce and Kai with Tyson who ran to him "Rei?" he asked and Rei shook his head "he's dead"

Kai looked at him with sympathy and Tyson hugged him "I'm sorry"

"do you know about this?" Rei asked Bruce showing him the ring. Bruce nodded "he told me before he suddenly got sick. Rei-"

"Maria doesn't know Hero" he said "why did you agree?"

"it was her father's last request to me. I couldn't say no"

"Rei" Tyson said and Rei swallowed

"leave me alone"

"Rei I-"

"please Ty… please!"

Tyson nodded and looked at his father who walked out. He hugged Rei one last time "I'm sorry. If you need anything. Just send to me"

"Ty… " he hugged him back "this may be the last time I talk to you" he looked at him "uncle is sending me to the phoenix land… if I didn't make it…" he looked down "I want you to know how much I respect you and thought of you like a brother"

"Rei" Tyson hugged him again tightly "I feel the same Rei. Please come back safe" Rei smiled and nodded. He sighed when Tyson left then blinked when heard a soft voice

"don't go"

He turned and looked at his slave "Kai?"

"please…" he looked down "don't go there. You'll end up hurt" although the way he said it was emotionless but Rei could feel that he meant it. He sat in front of Kai "you don't want me to get hurt? Why do you care? I didn't treat you well. And I'm the prince of the land that is now invading yours."

"grandfather is not dead" he said "he will kill you when you go there"

Rei sighed "you're afraid of your grandfather?"

Kai smiled "no. but… he sighed "when you go there. If you meet Tala, please don't hurt him. And… don't tell him I'm here. He'll go crazy"

"an affair with him I see" Rei said then smiled "I'm going to meet this Tala. If things succeeded-" he held Kai's chin "then I'm returning you to your country."

Kai's eyes widened "y-you would?"

"I'll rule Driggerland. And I'll leave your land to your care. But I'll keep an eye on you. Don't screw things up"

Kai smiled and shook his head "just be careful."

Rei nodded "help me prepare"

Men surrounded Bryan with swords and bows and arrows. The horse was panicking and Bryan tried to escape "I'm unarmed." He told them "step aside." He had money. But he won't be giving it to them. No. this money will help Tala get the prince

"Get down, Captain Bryan Kuznetsov"

Bryan looked at the approaching hooded figure. The man put the hood down revealing gray hair and face defeated by age. But the smirk was there. As strong as ever. He gasped. No, no this can't be. Where were he all this time. He swallowed

"K-King… Voltair Hiwatari?"

The smirk never faltered.

He couldn't struggle as the men took a hold of his horse. He didn't react when they dragged him down and took his horse away. His eyes was set on the old man who walked to him

"It's a surprise finding you here. Captain Bryan. But I'm afraid that you will not interfere in my plan"

"your plan? Your grandson is alive"

"I'm aware of that. But sacrifices must be done for the sake of this land. Captain Bryan. You were originally a stranger. We took you in. raised you and look at you now."

"what do you want of me"

"one tiger is coming. That, I will be taking care of… you…" he smirked when Bryan's eyes narrowed "kill my grandson" Bryan's eyes widened "kill him, smear the necklace he's wearing in his blood and get it to me" he smiled gently at Bryan "and you shall be taken as the Crown prince of my kingdom once I retreat it"
