"When the rose *dies, so too will you *rot away."
Gently, I clicked the blue door shut. How far had I come? How long had I waited for this moment? The blue key kissed into my palm, a silent reminder of what was to come. Was I ready? Would I ever be…The lights whirled into a soft broth, filling in small crevices of what I had forgotten. These paintings, my friends…how misguided I had been. I fought to catch my ragged breaths, the antique door holding me up. No, how they all had been wronged! Ugly tears dribbled down my cheeks. My resolution was clear: I would save them. I would save them all—especially him. The stranger's dormant strength baited a wry smile. Yes, even him, the one who'd shaken me the most.
With purpose, I ran to the locked door. The key slipped in as easily as I remembered; but, what happened next, I could have never recalled. It started out quiet, as it always does. The floor whined, the paint oozed, my worn shoes soaked up the red streaks like a sponge.
Hey, guys! This is just a quick preview of what is to come (beginning of part three)-just got your reviews and they made my day. They gave me just the right kick in the butt I needed to pick up again. A big thank you to zara2148, foxgirl224, and all those who are following/reading.
