![]() Author has written 33 stories for Glee, Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, and Elementary. Student, Writer, Actor, Singer, Playwright. NOW WITH A TUMBLR: Extra drabbles, previews of WIP, pictures, etc. Frequently Asked Questions: Q: Will you be writing any more Mostly Gay Not Couple stories? A: Almost definitely. I'm happy to write sequels to anything, as long as people are interested in reading them, but I have a soft spot for Kurt/Brittany for sure. Q: Will you write a story about this character/this pairing/for this contest? A: Probably? I usually think of what I'm going to write on my own, but I've certainly gotten new ideas from people asking me this, so if you want to read it, please ask! The exception to this is any Real People Fiction (which I'm sorry, but I just find creepy) or any romantic stories involving Rachel Berry in the Glee-verse or Dawn Summers from BtVS. I'm sure the actors are both lovely people, but I have trouble writing extensively about characters whom I'd happily see get eaten by a mountain lion. Q: Will you review my story? A: Sure! Send me a link or the name of the story and I'd be happy to. Q: You write often and in detail about physical fitness to the point of injury and illegal destruction of vehicles. Should we be concerned? A: Nah. It makes for interesting writing, but your car is safe with me. Q: How do you write your dialogue/running inner monologues? A: When people ask me this, it's usually in reference to Kurt, Brittany, or Sue (all from Glee). Typically, I just think of where I want the conversation to end up, pick a starting point, and imagine what the characters would say in order to get there. For Kurt and Sue, this usually involves some Googling to confirm pop-culture/historical references. For Brittany, this usually deviates into a land of unicorns and rainbows and meanders into places I wasn't intending the story to go. Often, this leads to plot re-writes. Q: Do you have any plans to write longer stories? A: I have some reservations about writing longer stories, if only because I usually don't know how I'm going to end them when I start publishing. Shotgun Wedding, for example, is in 7 parts; I hadn't decided on an endgame until chapter 5. That being said, my current WIP, Stop Loss, has a plotline and ending almost entirely mapped out. It'll also be the longest piece I've ever posted here by far; the chapter count will definitely be in the double digits by the time it wraps itself up. Q: Who are you? A: I'm a marathon running, hip hop dancing, insanely well read perpetual student who works with children and will never ever finish grad school and cannot spell. Only one of these things is not true. |
