For the Love of Women: A Twilight Femmeslash O/S Contest

L’Amour de Femmes is hosting an anonymous Twific femmeslash one-shot contest. We love great femme and we’re looking for more. There are so many fascinating female characters in the Twilight universe, and we can’t wait to see what happens when you pair two of them up.

Alice and Bella? Sure. Bella and Leah? Absolutely. Irina and Kebi? Why not? We’d love to see a broad spectrum of pairings here. Same goes for storyline. Do we love heat with a little dirty? Sure, we do. But we also love sensual and seductive, or heartfelt and tender. All of the above? Bring it!

At the end of the day, we are looking for well written fic about female/female romantic and/or sexual relationships. Two women together is a beautiful thing, and we know that the many talented writers in this fandom can showcase that.

So give us your best, your most beautiful, your most creative, you most where-in-the-world-are-my-shamwow-boyshorts. Give us your girls! We can’t wait!

Dates and Details:

Submissions will be accepted from 12/26/10 - 2/6/11

Public Voting will take place from 2/7/11 - 2/21/11 (Voting closes at 11:59 EST on 2/21/11)

Winners of Judges Selections and Public Vote will be announced 2/24/11

Submissions for this contest can be emailed to lamourdefemmes@gmail.com between 12/26/10 @ 12:00 AM EST and 2/6/11 @ 11:59 PM EST.

Please attach your entry in a .doc file and include your title, summary, rating, pairing, word count, disclaimer, ffn penname(s), twitter and beta name(s). Also, please let us know if you are a first time author.

This is an anonymous content. Entries can not be posted anywhere else or they will be disqualified. You are encouraged to promote the contest, and permitted to say that you entered, but please do not share which story is yours (publicly or privately) with anyone except your beta.

All entries will be validated by one of the hosts, and any information regarding the identity of the author will be removed before posting.

If you wish to include an author note, you may, but please limit it to anything pertinent to the story and exclude any information that may reveal you identity.

Guidelines:

All entries must be based on a female/female pairing and both central characters must be from the Twilight series. No crossovers. No OCs.

Stories can be AU/AH/OOC/Vamp/Pack/etc.

Entries must be between 2,000 - 12,000 words and must be submitted as a one-shot. Multi-chapter entries are not permitted.

No outtakes, alt PoVs or continuations of existing stories will be accepted.

Multiple entries will be accepted, as will collaborative efforts.

Please have your work beta’d before submitting it to the contest. Any entry with numerous spelling/grammar errors will be sent back once for the author to make corrections. If errors are still present, the entry will be disqualified.

Rate your fic appropriately for content.

Lemons are lovely, but not required.

If your entry contains any references to situations of a sensitive nature (history of rape, sexual abuse, assault, etc.), please include an appropriate warning. Entries containing detailed depictions of rape, incest, pedophilia, etc. are not permitted. If you have questions regarding what will/will not be accepted, please send an email to lamourdefemmes@gmail.com.
