Author has written 6 stories for Escaflowne, Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, Cowboy Bebop, and Samurai Jack.

Ummmm... I love 'The Vision of Escaflowne' and that's what all my early stories were about, but When I Grow Up I want to write fantasy novels of my own. Although I write copious quantities of fanfic, I hardly ever read the stuff. This is partly because a great deal of what I *have* read was poorly written (I'm sorry, but it really was), and partly because when I spend so much time writing there's little left for reading, but mainly because I often find other people's vision of what might happen to the characters unsatisfying. It's just that I enjoy what I imagine more. Really, I write my stories for myself and the fact that they're enjoyed by others is a side-effect (one I welcome, because it feels so neat to know I've been the cause of enjoyment in others. Or in some cases, sleep deprivation and malnutrition. In one case, an outburst of squealing that startled a housecat). Please note that it's not that I think my stories are all utterly brilliant and everything else is rubbish. It's just that they please *me*. Something quite different might please *you* - but I can't write that story.

I live in New Zealand and outside of anime and manga I like archery, 'Shortland Street,' 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer,' 'The X-Files,' 'The Sopranos,' the Discworld novels, the church in Siena, Italy, with the zebra-striped interior, shirts and sweaters with sleeves that come down over my hands, boots and shoes that go CLICK CLACK when I walk, talking to cats and eating strawberries.

My favourite books include 'The Autobiography of Henry VIII' by Margaret George, 'Howl's Moving Castle' by Diana Wynne Jones, 'My Year of Meat' by Ruth L. Ozeki, 'Lolita' by Vladimir Nabokov and 'The Changeover' by Margaret Mahy. (If I had to pick one word to sum up my approach to life it would be 'eclectic.') I once got left behind on a school field trip to the zoo. I was fifteen years old at the time. As a result I was famous at my school until I graduated.

Some stories previously available on ff.net were removed, and I have received many emails asking me to restore them. For various reasons I can't reupload them here, but you can access them here:

Enjoy!
