I grew up when TV shows were more "partner" or "brother" oriented so when NCIS Los Angeles began to air, I was naturally drawn (addicted) to it. In elementary school, I spent hours with my best friend, pretending we were the characters in the shows we watched together. We would sometimes make up alternate endings, but usually just acted out our own stories. Even after I was much too old to play act, I continued to dream up stories involving characters in shows and movies.

I have never written down any of my ideas, and in fact, I thought I was a little strange for having these scenarios going on in my head. Then I recently discovered FanFiction and realized there must be a lot of other "strange" people out there. I had been reading for a few months when I decided to try my hand at writing my first story since grade school.

I am much older than your average beginner. I am sure I graduated from college before most of the fanfiction readers and writers were even born. I chose "Justdreaming-83" for my pen name because this is just a way to finally write down what I have been dreaming about for so long. The number "83" is the year I graduated from college and is actually a part of my user ID for my personal email account. I chose to use it in my pen name just to remind myself that, even though "dreaming" is fun and exciting, real life is where I am grounded and find true happiness.
