My name is Amberle Elessedil-except of course it isnt, but that seemed a good enough username to pick when I was 14 and nearly 5 years on it's never given me cause to complain. In between working all hours to raise the funds for a trip to Tanzania and learning the ABCs of medicine, I'd rather fallen out of the fanfiction loop over the last couple of years. Then I decided to try to tempt my decidedly non-bookish little brother into the world of fiction and picked out something I'd really enjoyed when I was 13-namely the first Artemis Fowl book. Well we finished the first book, and the next two...and then we moved onto books four, five and six, which I never actually got to the first time around. And-as I tried to explain to my brother when he asked why I got so excited at the kissing scene-I realised that there was an epic love story just waiting to be written. Now, I am unlikely to write this story. But that doesn't mean I can't try!

My favourite books (currently, the list is always changing) include The Time Travelers Wife, Captain Corelli's Mandolin, Memoirs of a Geisha and The Book Thief

I also love brightly coloured nail varnish, catching people singing along to songs on the radio and a really beautifully worded phrase that gives me shivers when I read it.
