![]() Author has written 2 stories for X-Men: Evolution, and Star Wars. The following statements are accurate: - Harry Potter was my first fandom. I shipped Draco/Harry, Draco/Hermione, and Hermione/Blaise because Slytherins & Gryffindors. - I've been to more Harry Potter conventions than normal ComicCons, but the numbers are starting to even out. - I've written several works as "Lucia de'Medici" but retired the name once I'd outgrown it. - I am currently posting work at Ao3 as "Kira Solo". - My longest running work was posted at FF.net, and clocked in at over three hundred thousand words. It was a Rogue/Gambit story that tried to reconcile the aftermath of X-Men Evolution, filling the void after the series ended. I still get comments on it today, though I stopped actively writing the story over ten years ago. I often think about rebooting it, finishing it, and laying it to rest. Part of me has never given up on the story; I'm only intimidated by its sheer size and the sort of sacrifice it'd take out of my personal life to complete. Adulting sucks sometimes. - I'm currently writing a REYLO fanfiction entitled, "For Darkness, Stars". This might seem perplexing given the previous statement: I plotted "Stars" enough that I can hammer it out quickly without having to nitpick every plot point or re-read three hundred thousand words (this is to say I learned a bit more about writing production and task management in my time away from fandom. I'm no expert, but I've definitely gotten better at it.) - I use Canadian English, so if you catch me spelling it "neighbour" or "colour", that's why. Eh. - I have ALWAYS been a darkfic writer, but I don't always write darkfic. - I plot loose and fast so there's a trajectory in mind, but I don't do heavy detail unless I'm working on an outline for an original novel. It keeps the discovery aspect of writing interesting and it keeps me engaged, though I still have a vague idea of where I'm headed. I've written three and a half original novels in the time I've been away from fandom. - "For Darkness, Stars" is the first bit of fan fiction I've written in ten years. I'm angling for president of the Geriatric Fangirls Society. - I am on Tumblr. - I am a porg. |
