Like it or not, the PS3 has much more reliable hardware, and actually better hardware. While the 360 has to stick to under 10GB of storage, the PS3 can use up to 50GB of storage.
And if it was sub-par "so-called", it's definitely more next-generation than the 360. Especially in hardware. So your argument fails.
