That's like saying a game should be made more challenging by cutting the players thumbs off.I find nothing wrong with frenetic running and gunning, but VALVe must obviously think there's something wrong with allowing the player the certainty of making every bullet fired count, even if just once in a while.
The inability to aim down your weapon's sights, is, seriously, my only gripe with this game.
