Not just a beat'em all type of game.
If lazy people like would actually try you would find some developer entries here on GT where they tell you something about the story and the enemies. There is an infection going on in NY, most humans turn into zombie/rage like people, others turn into complete abominations which are only one of the more dangerous enemies in the game.
And you are not god, you are powerful. This is a Sci-Fi game of course the military won't stop you.
I recommend you to watch the BlackWatch Feature here on GT, it tells a lot about the story and the art-direction, hell the story seems extremely good.

If you haven't watch some videos on Youtube of gameplay elements. Granted, there are some fresh ideas in this game, but if you have played IH:UD you'll know what i'm talking about.
It's from the same developers you jerk.

i have really high hopes for this game when it was just the concept in the Game Informer magazine but this makes me jizz in my pants. They better not let me down or I am going to launch a full frontal attack on them!

Soldiers are nothing more than humans, You have to consider the fact that military soldiers usually are not trained to fight shapeshifters or zombies. So it's just stupid to say 'No military soldier would say that'. They would react, but you can't predict how.

I know it's an overshoot, but....
For some reason I just imagined it online.
Scary thought.

Better than being some cheesy, overdone, or badly done picture. :/
