well heres my ps3 with the yellow lights...you can barely hear the sound but i touch the button, it turns green, the blinks yellow, and goes to flashing red. next i touch it to reset it, from blinking red, to solid red. then i touch it again and it goes yellow then green then blinking red.
this is a responnse to all the people who said that other PS3 rrod vid was fake.
alright, im going to try and explain it again... I HAVE TO TOUCH THE BUTTON AGAIN TO RESSET IT. AFTER IT STARTS BLINKING, NOTHING HAPPENS. YOU HAVE TO PRESS IT AGAIN.
and yes i did call sony i just got the box to send it in today. if you want proof i can take a picture of the box and everything inside it that they want back. AND yes i am sending it back
The ps3 doesn't have much of a problem with hardware failure other than its controller. My friend had his first ps3 controller's right analog stick go completely dead on him and he got it replaced, but now the replacement one is having issues with the left analog stick. We joke that his controller has auto-walk enabled because a lot of times in games his character will start slowly walking forward when he isn't even touching the controller. I had similar problems with my ps2 controllers.
