That was kinda harsh, but I must admit it made me chuckle.

I have NES adapter cables from RetroUSB that allow me to use standard NES gamepads or my swanky NES Advantage joystick on my computer. The nifty thing is that I got the NES Advantage brand new a few years ago, as if it was sitting in a warehouse like a time capsule. Mmmmmm! That brand new smell for classic oldskool gear!

That and the Advantage is a great arcade stick for not just NES emulators. MAME works well with it. :-)

philips makes an automatic switch box. i use two of them daisy-chained together for my n64, ps1, ps2, gamecube, xbox, and dreamcast. all i do is turn on the system i want, and the switches detect the input and switch automatically (no charts required!). they are ~$25 online, but i got them for like, $10 each at Job-Lot (a chain of discount stores).
