If the Dems win in 2006 - Nancy Pelosi and these "investigations" will be the death of any chance of a Democratic president in 2008.

I'm a dem, and I can't stand her. She's all bluster, no action, and only chooses to back up fellow dems when its politically advantageous - not because she has any principles.

We need real LEADERSHIP and bipartisan SOLUTIONS in congress. Not another witchhunt that will consume the country for 2 years, while further making us vulnerable to attack and economic and ecological ruin.

I want politicians who are going to build bridges OVER swamps - not just drain them looking for skeletons.

Agreed, Vulgrin. Dems need solutions instead of looking backwards all the time. If the past elections have proven anything, Americans will vote for leadership of any kind, no matter how inept it might seem.

If I have to spend the day hurling and listening to another @!$%#ing GOP House and Senate majority up there saying "the people have spoken," when they haven't @!$%#ing spoken because they didn't take the time to go register and vote, I'm going to be upset.

I think people don't see the point in voting these days because they don't see what the dems will do for them. I don't think saying the GOP sucks is enough. This has certainly been proven time and time again, and the dems need to wake up. People aren't going to just elect anybody simply because the current person sucks.

You can't force someone to use a right. That is totally stupid. In truth it matters not if everyone votes or just 3 people. As long as the people represent the feelings of the majority, the outcome will be the same. If 3 people vote in the next presidential election, either a Dem or a Republican will win. If 100 million vote, either a Dem or a Republican will win.

In my opinion, I don;t really care if 90% of the people don't vote as long as they are the ones who would vote differently than me. I don't care about the majority, I care about what I think is right and the majority is not always right. Clinton was elected in both of his elections by far less than then the majority. bush wasn't elected in his first election by a majority. I didn't hear any party complain when it was their guy who won with a minority of the vote.
