Put a Seed Newsvine link on your own site

Adding Stories to Newsvine... or "Seeding"

Not everybody has time to write original articles. Sometimes you just want to publish a link to a news story you've read elsewhere on the web and perhaps leave a comment about it.

"Seeding Newsvine" is a way to accomplish this with one easy click. Not only can you create a trail of interesting stories you've read around the web, but each item you seed can then be commented on by other users.

How it works

Simply save the "Seed Newsvine" button on the left side of this page to your browser (view the quick 10-second demo below for a walkthrough). Then, the next time you read a great article — whether on MSNBC, ESPN, or any other site — click the button, enter your own headline, comment, and tags, and you've just seeded Newsvine.

The article you've just seeded will appear instantly in your column at "yourname.newsvine.com".
