On Sunday, a PKK attack in the Hakkiri province of southeastern Turkey resulted in the deaths of 12 Turkish soldiers, and the abduction of eight more. Seventeen soldiers were wounded, and 32 PKK terrorists were killed.

What began yesterday with a seed has now become a much larger story, with Turkey massing troops at the Iraqi border. It would appear that an incursion into Iraqi territory is imminent. The incursion is not an invasion of Kurdistan, nor is it directed at the Iraqi Kurd Population.
