In the dark days of 1940, the pre-Vichy French government was warned by its generals "In three weeks England will have her neck wrung like a chicken." After the Battle of Britain, Winston Churchill growled his response: "Some chicken; some neck!" Today, the bestselling books of ' …

Blue Streak: Ann Coulter, Again

Ann Coulter is at it again.

By day, Joe Zamecki works as a landscaper and valet in Austin, capital of George W Bush's home state of Texas, which is regarded by many natives as God's own country.

My little brother, Yuriy, has been amusing himself lately with a series of satirical articles about atheism. He's good at writing satire but in this case I didn't want to encourage what I knew would be a bad argument in the end so I avoided it.

In the summer of 2006, I heard that a new book called Godless presented an insightful and devastating criticism of the theory of evolution.

Look, no matter whether you are religious or an atheist or some other thing, no matter what you believe, I expect you'll agree with me about the importance of this question: why do so many people believe the wrong thing? The reason I can be fairly sure that this is a question whi …

The reason why New Atheism is not as effective at attracting members as it could be has become clear to me. There is no set work that all look to for guidance. There is no summary of themes. There is no Catechism. We need a Catechism. So here goes:

New Atheists are taking arms against faith. Not content to declare that faith is stupid, they are now convinced that faith is dangerous. Newsviner Mykola, with his usual competence, recently presented the arguments of New Atheists in his "godless" series.

The newest edition of John Brockman's Edge is up. Some interesting tidbits this time, many of which tie in pretty directly with my recent series on atheist.

So we've introduced this series, defined some terms and discussed what we mean by "faith." There has been a degree of interesting discussion, but not really anything "new" in the "New Atheist" sense.

This is part three of my ongoing series on atheism. Part one was a statement of purpose and a general introduction, while part two sought to define exactly what I mean by the words "god" and "atheist."

With religion increasingly polarised, is there any benefit in not knowing if there is a higher power? Mark Vernon - an ex-vicar - explains why agnosticism is his creed.

This is part two in my ongoing series about atheism, collected under the tag godless.

Atheism is the big buzz word these days. Dawkins, Dennet, Harris, and a slew of angry young progressives (in whose number I humbly count myself) are out for Blood - God's blood. They (dare I presume to say we?) have finally had enough of religion in its every manifestation.

What do liberal columnist/commentator Susan Estrich and conservative firebrand Ann Coulter have in common?Until now, not much at all. But that has changed with the release of Estrich's new book, "Soulless: Ann Coulter and the Right-Wing Church of Hate."

Actually, I expect that you [Ann Coulter] will continue to scream and shout and smear as nastily as you want, so long as you think that that kind of behavior sells books. But we have tackled bigger bullies than you and lived through far worse circumstances than your book tour.

Being on a book tour also means answering questions such as the following, which were left out of a Baltimore Sun article due to length. I hope you enjoy my responses, and look for me in fine bookstores everywhere this summer.

So I lost a bet a little while back and ended up having to read Ann Coulter's new book 'Godless' because of it, and of course write a review of it.

These broads are millionaires, lionized on TV and in articles about them, reveling in their status as celebrities and stalked by grief-arazzies. I have never seen people enjoying their husbands' death so much.
