Interesting Op-Ed from Xbox Addict on why Halo 2 remains the most popular game on Xbox Live. Posting because I agree with the assessment. The Halo 2 lobby/party system on Xbox Live should be the standard by which future online multiplayer games follow.
I'm quite the HALO game fan. I loved the first game and it was the reason I bought an Xbox. I still, to this day, have yet to play any game that beats HALO or its successor HALO 2. I shiver at the amount of hours I've logged playing these games.
Is it just me or has the buzz around the XBOX 360 died? There was this big rush to get the thing out before X-mas 2005 and it was harder to find than that tickle-me-elmo back in the late 90's. I still don't see any in stores - just on eBay for silly prices.

Microsoft announced that the popular Halo 2 game for Xbox would be released for Windows Vista. This is similar to the port to the predecessor, Halo, although that port was not tied to one operating system, as it was ported to both Macs (Macsoft), and PCs (Gearbox).

Halo 2 is set to explode onto PCs exclusively for Windows Vista. Halo 2 for Windows Vista will be developed by a dedicated Microsoft Game Studios team in partnership with Bungie Studios, and will include the original game, as well as the multiplayer map pack.
