Case Summary

SportsLine.com, is a media company providing online sports content, through its several Web sites including CBS SportsLine.com, NFL.com, PGATOUR.com and NCAAsports.com. We average over a billion page views per month, and track and sell over four thousand distinct categories on our website.

Sportsline.com needed a way to provide sponsors with a report detailing unique visitors over arbitrary time periods to better represent the life span of a sponsorship. The company was also looking for more substantial path analysis and a greater understanding of how visitors navigate the site.

Soon after SiteCatalyst was implemented, Sportsline.com began to appreciate the vast amount of online data—both high level and granular—that was available through SiteCatalyst and realized the value that data could have throughout the organization.
