The TimesJobs.com Multi-Industry Job Fair, in association with Accenture, was held at College of Vocational Studies, Sheikh Sarai, New Delhi, and witnessed an over-whelming response from job seekers and companies from across the region. The two day event held on 7 & 8 Aug, 2010, witnessed over 3,000 job seekers walk-in to seek better paying jobs with some of the most renowned companies participating at the fair.

The Multi-Industry Job Fair, pioneered in India, by TimesJobs.com, India's No. 1 Job Site in association with Genpact at College of Vocational Studies, Sheikh Sarai, New Delhi witnessed an over-whelming response from both candidates and corporates. Over 10,000 Try Their Luck on Day 1 of TimesJobs Fair

Out hunting for their dream jobs, over 10,000 graduates queued up for the TimesJobs fair at St Joseph's Boys School on Saturday. The first day of the fest saw candidates armed with MBAs, BEs, BBMs pour in to lap up jobs in BPO/KPO/ITeS, as well as voice/non-voice processes.

The recruitment procedure is simple: Graduates come in with their resume and passport-size photos. Corporates assess an applicant's CV and if it fits the bill, he/she is allowed to appear for the subsequent rounds.

Once the applicant meets HR recruiters of a company, he/she is put through a number of tests. "We plan to hire 100 to 150 people as voice processors and customer care executives. On our part, we'll assess them based on their communication skills, writing abilities, their voice, and comprehension skills," explained Vikas Kumar, HR recruitment head, HSBC.
