Cost & Commercial Management

Own the global cost and capital management process with focus to achieve efficient benchmarks and effective reporting for strategic decision making

Oversee the cost management of all projects globally and track / monitor global capital forecasts vs actuals

Engage with regional delivery teams to establish robust cost control and reporting governance (with focus on efficient data quality and value engineering)

Own and support global leadership reporting

Oversee the project cost estimation process and support cost estimation for regional projects

Ensure tools are updated with latest benchmarking information

Capital Planning and Management

Experience in working with / developing / owning a prioritized Capital Plan

Manage / Report in Capital Plan progress

Interface with relevant clients regional and global stakeholders for plan details

Establish capital expenditure process and prepare annual global plan with Clients Real Estate Markets, including Real Estate Business Case (REBC) process implementation and support

Monitor the changes in project portfolio and pipeline and assist in project prioritization

Track and report capital expenditure status

Provide support in cost and performance benchmarking for project cost assurance

Cost Assurance / Benchmarking

Input on Cost Assurance and understanding risk in construction projects (to make commercial allowances) during development of business case

Deliver project cost savings through engagement in the early stage of projects with Clients Real Estate Markets Markets aimed at mitigating time, cost and scope risks before funding approval of projects, focusing on high-value capital projects

Ensure data captured and repurposed in a format to feedback into future estimations

Document control function to capture and record all final accounts in a timely manner

Provide regional / global benchmarks as applicable

Capture and report savings to Clients Real Estate Markets monthly

Success is measured by cost savings identified and additional projects delivered against the approved capital plan

Key skills required as follows :-:

Experience in remotely managing global CRE capital expenditure and leadership reporting

Excellent communications skills to be able to interface with diverse markets.

Strong background in core QS services (particularly pre-contract / early stage cost planning / benchmarking) with a focus on corporate office fit out / R&D; facilities

Good at stakeholder communication / management and engagement with delivery teams across all regions

Proactive, with a focus on improving / refining process

candidates from IPCs (like CBRE, Cushman, Colliers, Knight Frank etc.) or from Project Management Consultancies. They should have experience in costing for interior fit out, commercial projects.
