whether or not i give gd another try depends on the answer i get to this question….

How is the URL rewriting handled on the Windows 2008/IIS7 hosting servers?

Is it handled through something like ISAPI_rewrite.dll the ISAPI filter? or

is it handled natively through IIS7?

Thanks

II7 now provides a URL rewrite module that you can use. For more information please see this blog. http://blogs.iis.net/bills/archive/2008/05/31/urlrewrite-module-for-iis7.aspx

thanks, but i knew that already, since we use IIS7 features where i work.

at the same time it is something that is not necessarily enabled in an IIS7 server.

So the question still stands… does gd have IIS7 rewriting module enabled, or is rewriting done through ISAPI_rewrite.dll?
