Now that the Defense Department has come up with a name for the current conflict -- "the Long War" -- it's fair to ask if that war's duration amounts to a life sentence for detainees and also to question the circumstances under which captives are being held.
Of course most didn't even take part in any combat but where arabs handed over by the pakistani and afghans. But of course admitting mistakes like keeping the wrong people imprisoned that just keeping them there. Then you can at least say you are effective in fighting a war on terror.
Yes, the US is as bad as the Soviets. Now excuse me, I need to hope that the KGB doesn't swoop in and ship me off to a Siberian labor camp all of sudden while I'm heading over to meet my wife at the bread line.
