Report: Mueller Impanels Grand Jury in Russia Probe

President Donald Trump's attorney Jay Sekulow said on "Your World" Thursday that Trump is not considering firing Special Counsel Robert Mueller.
Mueller is leading the investigation into Russia’s interference in the 2016 election and possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Moscow.
"The president is not thinking about firing Bob Mueller, so the speculation that’s out there is just incorrect," Sekulow told host Neil Cavuto.

On Thursday, news broke that Mueller has impaneled a Washington, D.C. grand jury for his Russia probe.
As Judge Andrew Napolitano explained earlier in the show, grand juries are powerful investigative tools that allow prosecutors to subpoena documents, put witnesses under oath and seek indictments, if there is evidence of a crime.
Cavuto asked if the White House was aware in advance that a grand jury had been convened.
“No," Sekulow answered. "But this is not a surprise because the impaneling of a grand jury in situations like this when you’ve got an investigation is typically how they move forward."
He described it as a "standard operating procedure" and said that the Trump team had "no reason to believe that the president's under investigation here.”
