GOP Rep. Blasts Sarah Sanders, Calls for Hearings on Stormy Daniels Payment
Law Professor Jonathan Turley gave mixed reviews to former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani's interview with Sean Hannity.
Turley, of George Washington University in Foggy Bottom, D.C., said he found the discourse to be short of a "particularly stellar performance."
He said the first rule of legal counsel consenting to interviews is like a "legal hypocratic oath" to "do no harm" to their client.
"[Giuliani] caused some damage for the president," Turley said, adding that the damage was likely done in the attorney's delivery and not his actual defense.

Turley said that when Giuliani said the payment to Stormy Daniels was done as somewhat of a loan, through the contracted retainer to Michael Cohen, it does not remove legal problems the Federal Election Commission could find.

But Turley said that Giuliani elsewhere is being "unfairly criticized" for allegedly putting Trump in danger of obstruction charges surrounding the firing of former FBI Director James Comey.
