A New Jersey Democratic congresswoman interrupted House Oversight Committee Chariman Trey Gowdy of South Carolina, telling him he was "out of control" at FBI Agent Peter Strzok's hearing.

Gowdy was pressing Strzok on the appearance of rank bias in his texts with his mistress, FBI attorney Lisa Page.

Strzok said some of his messages featured normal conversational "hyperbole," which Gowdy said was "inappropriate" for someone who is supposed to be "dispassionately, neutrally investigating" the subject of those texts.

Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman, who represents Trenton, Princeton and Old Bridge, interrupted Gowdy and said Strzok is the one testifying, not the former Greenville prosecutor.

"If you can't control yourself, how do you expect this committee to control itself?" Watson Coleman shouted.

"You've been out of control since you've been on this committee," she said. "Why don't you leave it alone. This is not Benghazi."

Texas Democratic Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee of Houston said Gowdy was "assuming" Strzok's position on an issue.

Gowdy responded by calling on Watson Coleman to question Strzok.

"Well, Hallelujah," Watson Coleman responded.

Watson Coleman then praised Strzok and delineated several criticisms of President Donald Trump, claiming the Republican side of the committees has not mentioned those issues.

She asserted that Trump "embraces our enemies" and is unconstitutionally "enriching himself."

"I have never seen my colleagues so out of control, so desperate... to defend a president who we all know is unfit," Watson Coleman said. 

She said the "FBI helped this unfit man become president of the United States" and that Republicans should be "kissing" Strzok in the wake of Trump's election.

After Watson Coleman had concluded her questioning, New York Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-Upper West Side) said he prepared a letter that called for former Breitbart editor and former Trump adviser Steve Bannon be called to testify before the House Judiciary and Oversight Committees.
