Sean Hannity said Monday in his opening monologue that he hopes former CIA Director John Brennan brings a lawsuit against the Trump administration over his revoked security clearance.
Brennan said on NBC News' "Meet the Press" Sunday that he has been contacted by lawyers about the basis for legal action to prevent Trump from doing the same thing to others.
"If my reputation, as I'm being pulled through the mud now, if that's the price we're going to pay to prevent Donald Trump from doing this against other people, to me it's a small price to pay. ... If it means going to court, I will do that," said Brennan.
Hannity said he "begs" Brennan to follow through, adding he would "love to see [the] discovery" in the case related to Brennan's "malignant" efforts to impact the presidential election.

Hannity said "it pays to have a security clearance" and many former high-ranking officials leverage the special status for financial gain. He said former officials use the clearances to help them obtain lucrative offers from companies seeking their expertise.
In a recent CNN segment, CNN counterterrorism analyst Philip Mudd shouted at Paris Dennard when he was challenged on the former officials with security clearances obtaining high-paying jobs in and around the Beltway.
The segment prompted a tweet from President Trump, asking whether Mudd's clearance should be revoked.
