Senator Chris Dodd appeared on Good Morning America this morning advocating 8 weeks of paid leave for mothers taking time off to care for their babies. I assume fathers would have the same option but fathers are usually left out of these conversations.

Like millions of Americans who are in the middle of a taut NL Central division race and enjoying their first day off since Aug. 27, Derrek Lee did the usual Thursday: He got up, drove to Wrigley Field, put on his Cubs uni and then, of course, reported to makeup.
It's too bad the guards got there in time.
As a Christmas present, my brother gave me the first season of Firefly on DVD. It took me a long time to actually watch the DVDs as I have three kids, a full time job, and several boards and committee meetings each month.
