If you missed last week's article:

A while back, almost exactly a year ago, and then again a few months ago, the Photographers began planning to meet in a virtual conference. An agenda hadn't been developed but there was an expressed interest in having the opportunity to get to know one another better, coordinate special efforts and discuss ways to step it up a notch or two.

The polls have closed and the Photographers Virtual Vinemeet will take place on Saturday, April 2nd at 7:00PM CST.

In the meantime, Holly-348328 and myself will test and research available software options to determine which product will be used.  Mikogo, Vyew, openmeetings, and WebHuddle are the options we have to choose from. 

An article requesting agenda items will go out next week and, if necessary, the following week.  A tutorial for the product used will go out Thursday, March 31st.

I promised myself I would clean the house, well I promised myself that yesterday really. But waking up and doing it while there is the vine, the studio and a bunch of animals that smell Spring down the road is quite another matter indeed (George the cat has cabin fever bad). Something had to break and it was going to be me.

Animals first, check, feed and water, look around for anything odd or out of place ( hmmm, new calico cat in the barn) and then house work, always the damn house work, but first, the vine. Vining around I ran into ERich and I joked about housework and painting in the studio. I came back later to see that she was suggesting, (being the teacher that she is), that I "be creative". Well Hell, I want to paint, the damn studio calls constantly and a 'vine teacher' tells me to be creative! What can a dog do in that situation, I tell you, I got up and just did that there thing.

While painting I was thinking about an idea for an article about the vine, how we sort of inspire each other and how one article may present many different variations on a theme. Not only variation of comments but even other articles are made based on something from that first article. All artists, writers and humans in general (especially us viners), intellectually feed off of each other. We use and accept thoughts and ideas from others with out really thinking about it. I see it here all of the time. Newsvine Photographers is a very good example of how the members work together and gain from each other. We have fun with themes that brings a different perspective from every member all the time.

Our interaction and socialization does produce many small results everyday. These results are soft, like a whisper of a moths wing against the air but it still produces movement. We each interact here and we each change things in others lives by being here. We share our thoughts, ideas, fears and worries, photos of our environments and back yards, we talk about our family and friends, we share our lives.

The one thing I see growing and making this place a good place is the groups. There are some very good groups out there. They add a lot to the mix and should get more attention. We have a Newsvine Group Administrators group that should get more members. This group will only help those who have groups. Join it NOW! :)

One small thing, Erich commenting to me, was the push I needed to just make up my mind that the paint must flow. Damn the dishes, FULL SPEED AHEAD!
