Our next GoToMeeting (GTM) is scheduled for Thursday, July 28st at 6:00 PM Central. That is 7:00 Eastern, 5:00 Mountain, 4:00 Pacific, 1:00 Hawaiian. Expect a run time of one or two hours. These sessions are always BYOB.
This meeting will occur every Thursday at 6:00pm CST until further notice.
Agenda / Summary
Time for a slight format change with these virtual sessions. There's not really going to be an agenda any longer, Thursday is going to be the day for the Photographers to get together and talk about photography, ahead of foto-friday. GTM's screen sharing abilities makes this ridiculously easy (and fun) to do, so bring your beer, wine or spirits (or any combination of the three) and some photos, either your own, or from photography websites like Flickr (and their many interesting groups), Newsvine articles, etc., so that we can discuss and learn from each other in a real-time environment. This is basically what we did last week, started with talking about forced perspective, perused and discussed various websites on the topic, and then moved on to 'show-and-tell'. IMO, it was one of our best sessions to date.
This would also be the place to discuss the photo-challenge, help others complete and collaborate on the current challenge and develop future challenges (which are often determined by someone in the group anyway, whether they're aware or not).
With that, we're looking at adding additional meeting days. Although a set schedule is still in the works, we're looking at holding sessions on every other, or the occasional, Saturday late morning or early afternoon (intended more for Newsvine tutorial stuff like article formatting and HTML) and the occasional, or every other, Tuesday evening session reserved for, but not restricted to, photography related demonstrations like Photoshop, camera functions, etc. We can certainly discuss this on Thursday, if needed.
