Season Slips Through Cowboys' Fingers

With 1 minute 19 seconds left against the Seahawks, Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo dropped a snap on an attempted go-ahead field goal. The second season will now start in Dallas, filled with intriguing questions.

I can't believe we actually won this game. Lady Luck was on our side. We definitely didn't deserve it the way we played most of the game. Chicago Bears, here we come!

Can't believe Romo!!! What a rookie mistake! Especially after I picked the Cowboys to win my office pool :-(

If you guys win again based on the idiotic play of a quarterback over his head, well, um, I'm gonna be mad. It's really sad that every single NFC playoff team is worst that every single AFC playoff team except for Kansas City.

Definitely possible.

What an amazing cliffhanger of a game, though. I had to give Romo high marks for his quarterbacking before the big finish, too. Can you imagine being him right now? It is rare that one individual so clearly blows a season for a team. No amount of thinking can get him out that one. Tough times.

They also likely wouldn't have made it to the postseason if Drew Bledsoe were quarterback all season long. This was a pretty respectable first season as a starter for Romo. I think he'll be a good quarterback so long as this doesn't totally annihilate his confidence.
