Reviews for Confessions of A Human Girlfriend
SweetestSong23 chapter 1 . 7/13/2011
Wow... just... Wow. I thought that it was unfair for humans to hate mutants, but... Now that I've read this, I think slightly differently. I still think it's wrong to hate mutants, but Taryn deserves to not have to ttrust them, especially a certant Cyclops.
Kairan1979 chapter 1 . 1/22/2011
I don't agree with all Taryn's agruments, but I have to agree about Jean. Her dating Duncan always made me questioning if she really could read minds.
MASTER-OF-SUPRISE chapter 1 . 8/27/2010
Interesting take but I still say she's a shallow bigoting bitch. I mean think about it what's he supposed to say by the way my eyes have more power than a bazooka. That would go over real well.
Theodore Hawkwood chapter 1 . 8/16/2010
A well written tale with a unique perspective from that of a human character in X-men Evolution. It's a nice little journey into how Taryn must've felt and puts an interesting spin on the mutant versus human conflict of the Marvel universe.
Hope for Love chapter 1 . 7/20/2010
I always liked Taryn. You can understand why she is so angry since the people (like Scott) who claimed to care about her spent every second lying to her! Good story!
Tanya chapter 1 . 8/3/2009
Wow. I really like how you put the effort of not making her simply looking like an angry mob-minded anti-mutant bigot, but putting forth a pretty rational argument that a teenaged human girl would have probably felt in that situation. Even though she was still being really selfish in a lot of her points, I could see how her argument was very convincing. That's pretty interesting getting the other side of the story.
Nightcrawlerlover chapter 1 . 1/19/2008
Wow...I imagine this to be a diary entry that Taryn could write, or something else. Very creative!
strayphoenix chapter 1 . 9/10/2005
o...never thought about it that way. jeez, she should go join Magneto. very well written nontheless. i really enjoyed it.

Happy Stalker Ball chapter 1 . 1/28/2004
That was great! Go, Taryn, go! Tell'em, tell'em!
-The story does bring up very good points as that would probably be how quite a few humans would feel in a situation like that.
Congrats RW on anothe wonderful one-shot! ::hug:: YAY!

Flamable chapter 1 . 12/9/2003
Taryn is wrong! The stupid bitc dosn't know anything! Hey nice writing:)
drewboy62 chapter 1 . 12/6/2003
Wow. This was awesome Red Witch. It's great to see such an in depth article about how Taryn probably viewed the events of Mainstream and everything that followed (considering as how the writers just forgot about her b/c it was convenient). Because they did that it's easy to see why she would easily think this way, when if they had done thinks differently she probably wouldn't and would probably be willing to be nicer to them - but like you pointed out in this fic, they didn't. A shame in a way since it would have been more interesting if Scott had been more involved with Taryn in the first place. Just to see what would have happened if he felt so involved with her that he had to be honest with her and talk to her about what had happened. Maybe then she would have been more understanding after intially being angry. Who knows?
Very interesting read. Keep up all the great writing.
Only Human chapter 1 . 12/2/2003
Heh. This is really good. After reading this story, I still think Taryn is shallow, but I must admit, she has some good points.
CallistoLexx chapter 1 . 11/29/2003
This was wonderful. I love the slight Jean-bashing. That's always good. :)
Steven P. P chapter 1 . 11/28/2003
SO true.
You just pointed out a huge flaw in Xavier's concept. You know what's funny? This reminds me of the Turn of the Rogue, where the X-kids complain about Prof. X not telling them the truth about their principal. ("We had a right to know!" "It was like we were playing with fire, and didn't even know it!")Does Xavier really have the authority to decide if humankind is ready or not? They had their chance to reveal themselves peacefully, and even Xavier noted not long before DoR, that there are starting to be so many mutants in the world that they won't be able to hide it much longer. But even when half of the school was nearly eaten in "Monster Mash" :), they didn't do anything. Of course they didn't.
I must tell you that I didn't like Taryn because of her behaviour in Mainstream, but your fic kinda opened my eyes. Awesome job, Red Witch.
WormmonABC chapter 1 . 11/27/2003
