Ash 11/23/04 . chapter 30 Wow Tnaks i have really enjoyed reading this story for the last 10 months this is the reason why i been coming to fanfiction.
Best of luck with the novel |
TannimU 11/20/04 . chapter 30All I can say is wow! This was monumental in its scope. You pulled off one of the best fanfics i have everhad the pleasure of reading. You took the characters and expenaded on them while keeping them true to their canon selves. You took some forgotten and lesser known characters and made me at least more interested in them than in some of the popular characters. I guess my only complaint is that we didn't get to see the missing league members' reactions to what happened. Once again great job, and as always gime more! |
mcabello 11/20/04 . chapter 30Good chapter. Write more soon. |
argonis 11/20/04 . chapter 29Very cool, tightly packed action and some surprising twists. I am amazed at how well this is plotted; how long did all the planning and counter-planning take to think up? The way you break up moments is very well done-I love that scenes end on a thrilling note which leaves us wanting more (such as Etrigan knocking Luthor through the wall).
Can't wait for the next chapter-action is great, but so is some BM/WW and closure. |
Ghost in the Machine 11/20/04 . chapter 29If I remember right, the toxicity level of plutonium is high enough to practically guarentee lung cancer with a inhalation of 1/30 millionth of a gram. Luthor's suit could kill more people than Chernobyl. |
Thatguy 11/19/04 . chapter 7 Looking back now that the fic is near a close I'd have to say this is one of the best uses of Lex Luthor and Batman in fanfiction around. The two are both masterminds who in the end, are only human.
Another thing that's cool about this is finding the subtle clues that have since been revealed. Major D and Dawn's glance, how he voted for the bulk of the JLA to leave but stayed behind himself, Batman tricking Parasite Dawn into revealing where the clone factory is, the 'green goo' that arrive around the same time as Bats that was actually Manhunter and the list goes on. Very well done.
Another part of what made this fic so enjoyable, besides how well conceived the overall plan was, was the research. Lady Flash impersonating Jesse Quick, Grodd impersonating the Manhunter yet not being seen on camera, the use of Myrlen, etc. You know your DC lore damn well, and it shows.
If it seems like I have nothing but praise for this series, that's because I have nothing but praise for the series. Excellent work. |
ash 11/19/04 . chapter 29 wow Bruce and his Swiss army knife lol
See Batman is the real hero willing to risk his life for luthor |
JME2 11/18/04 . chapter 29Excellent. I'm glad to see your hints back in Chapter 12 about Supergirl wanting a piece of Luthor have come to pass. Once again, this is how Luthor should have been taken down. I can't wait for the final chapter. |
ash 11/16/04 . chapter 28 great keep it up dude i love reading this.
I wonder what going to happen with the clone |
JME2 11/15/04 . chapter 28Etrigan the Demon trying to kick Luthor's a** - I LIKE. Now, more than ever, are we heading into the endgame. Keep it up Rick! |
Elizabeth Culmer 11/15/04 . chapter 28 I have been greatly enjoying this whole series, starting back with "Sunday Dinner at Wayne Manor." This story is different from those in that it focused on plot rather than emotional issues, but you write it equally well, possibly even better. I really like the way both Luthor and Batman have plans within plans, and ways to cope with unexpected contingencies.
But Batman plans better. :-)
It's occasionally a little confusing when you switch first person viewpoint, since your Bruce and Diana have similar "voices," but context clears that up within a few lines. |
Dan Ingram 11/15/04 . chapter 1This is quite easily one of the more impressive Batman, if not DC comics, fanfiction I've read in a long time. Two master planners, Batman and Lex Luthor, battling it out. I've not seen any real continuity mistakes per say that are too big given the scope of the story so I'd stop fretting there. I am ready for the balk of the JLA to return though. That's a wildcard in both men's plans, really. Nice use of the Human Defense Corps, btw. Makes perfect sense as you pointed out, and great use of obscure villains to 'frame' the JLA. |
JME2 11/13/04 . chapter 27I sense that we are drawing closer and closer to the endgame. And I'm still as hooked as ever. It's been said before and I'll say it again: THIS is is how Luthor should have been taken down. Keep it up! |
 JME2 11/9/04 . chapter 26I'm still loving it. Great job Rick! |
mcabello 11/6/04 . chapter 25Good chapter. Write more soon. |
