An absolutely "shireboundish" and very appropriate end for this story! Loved the thread/rope thing. Hope to see more of your work soon!

Some comfort at last! The previous chapter was very angsty, with Saruman trying to get information out of Frodo by pretending to be Gandalf. I'm so glad Frodo didn't fall for that! I loved your scene with Sam confronting Saruman. It was very brave of him, by not surprising. That's just what he *would* do no doubt. I felt sorry for Elladan, blaming himself for what happened and being worried about the hobbits even though he must have been in great of pain himself. Pippin seems to getting better, it's good to see him eating again. Frodo's still pretty sick, but at least he's safe. Now, what's to done for Merry? I'm off to find out now.

Aw, so sad this has come to an end at last. You'll definitely have to come up with another story soon to keep us all satisfied! ;)

Oh, I loved how Celeborn called to the thread used to stich up Pip! That was neat. And Sam realizing his rope came to him when he called because of it was even better. Loved that little detail and it tied it into the story so well.

Ah, poor Frodo. Always the one to take the more serious hurt and the last one to heal. So strong in so many ways but more frail because of it. *sigh* The little conversation he had with Elladan was really sweet and I really loved how Elladan told him he would not yet leave Middle Earth. I like to think of the twins staying until Aragorn passed from the circles of the world before they ventured to Valinor. I really don't think they chose to remain in Middle Earth and become mortal as Arwen did. Too bad Tolkien never really explains in detail what their fate was. So, I guess we all just have to use our imaginations. :)

LOL Leave it to Pip to still be curious about all the things that were nearly the end of them all...the balrog, Smaug's body and riding the eagles! That hobbit sure can dream can't he? LOL

Great story! My only gripe is that it's ended. :( Write another soon please! :)

Shirebound, this was a lovely ending to a wonderful story . . . lighthearted and full of sweet hobbity banter-but got me a bit sad, too, a the knowledge that the time of the elves is ending. I loved Frodo's and Elladan's little talk, as well as Pippin's insatiable curiosity-hasn't that gotten him into trouble enough times? And of course, you never did forget that Frodo is recovering and weak and still needs that extra attention. Lovely, and you know I can't wait to see what's on your plate next!

And what a perfect line to end on! Yet another beautiful story complete. I loved the list of Pippin's things to do; I confess, there is even enough Took in me to be curious about Smaug and the Balrog's remains. Oh Shirebound, Shirebound, Shirebound *hugs you and thanks you a trillion times* I'm going to miss "Mind to Mind" just as much as your other stories, it's dreadful, you having to come to the end of things. But I love this ending enough to forgive you ^^

Hi again. It's been too long since my last review. I'm sorry about that, but things have so busy here I've had very little time for reading or writing.

Poor Pippin's injured and he's cold and wet. I hope he's not going get really sick, but whatever happens he's in good hands now. I like the way you had Celeborn take care of him. We don't see that very often. I hope Elladan isn't hurt too badly, but if he is, I'm sure he'll be taken care of soon too.

Now, what's going to happen to Frodo and Merry? I'm off to find out now. This can't wait!
