tanseynz chapter 1 . 11/4/2013 One of the better end-of-life stories about Sookie and Eric. You have a real skill in the subtle art of writing to evoke emotion, something a lot of very successful writers cannot manage. |

Honulvr chapter 1 . 11/24/2011 I finished Need and then read this immediately after. I know many will think it beautiful and romantic, blah blah blah. I never have believed it romantic to kill yourself for love. However, I feel that with the two of them, there wouldn't be any way for Eric to go through this and come out sane in the end so there would be no other option. Now the reason I don't see this as beautiful is simply because in the Sookieverse there is no real need for this outcome. Sheba, I think you have beautifully written the tragic end that will inevitably happen if Sookie continues her ridiculous bullheadedness of being turned. In our real lives there are many examples of people having to live while those they love die and to have someone choose to put her loved one through that on purpose is to me unforgivable. This is one of the reasons I have become so annoyed with Sookie's lack of growth as a character in the original books. Sheba, I agree that Eric would make this decision, I agree that you have written the only logical end for this chosen path. I am simply annoyed that CH claims Sookie will never be turned and if there is no real discussion of it, if it is only ever stated that Sookie "would simply hate that" with no explanation as to why she would hate it, I will feel as though CH has wasted my time with an unworthy character that simply refused to grow up. Thank you Sheba, great story and as always your character portrayal was dead on in my opinion. My ire was raised because you have done a wonderful job, though I will never find it beautiful to watch someone have to witness the slow deterioration and death of the one they love more than all else. |
MatingInspires chapter 1 . 6/22/2011 So beautiful yet sad |
azucar69 chapter 1 . 5/22/2011 What a heartbreaking tale! It was like Sookie was trapped by her dementia, oh but one moment of clarity... I need a hug right about now. Thank you so much for this bittersweet slice of Sookie & Eric. ((hugs)) |
