I rolled my eyes around, searching for anything appealing on the library shelves. Read it, read it, read it, too stupid, read it, smut novel. I groaned and left the section. It was so hard to find a good book. The way to the exit involved passing the children's section. Can't hurt... I meandered over, examining the titles. Most were covered in the library standard plastic jacket, but my fingers, which I trailed along the spines, registered something far different.
"Leather, nice." I muttered, pulling the book out. Emblazoned on the cover, in gold leaf none the less, was the title. Peter Pan. I smirked in spite of myself. It was a good book, I could give Barrie that. I took the book over to a circle of chairs that surrounded a table. I don't know how long I sat there reading but when I next looked up, it was dark outside. Not that big of a problem, considering that the library didn't close until late. The first stars were twinkling in the sky. Since I had indulged my inner child for one day, I thought it deserved another treat.
"I wish I may, I wish I might, I wish on the first star tonight. I wish I could go to Neverland, have some fun for once in my life." I said it aloud, which drew the ire of a librarian.
"SHHH!"
