Courage
He would not cry. Only babies cried. Ten year old boys did not cry. Not when wooden swords broke their smallest finger. Not when other boys call them mean names. And they certainly did not cry when they had to leave their nana and ada behind to live in Rivendell.
He would not cry, though legs ached; he had never ridden a horse for this long before. He would not cry though he had to sit with Elladan on his horse and he'd been riding horses by himself for years.
Arathorn would be brave like his adar, and his ancestors.
