Author has written 50 stories for Swallows and Amazons series, Lord of the Rings, Chronicles of Narnia, Anne of Green Gables series, Series Of Unfortunate Events, A Cinderella Story, Emma, Little Women, Secret Garden, Magic School Bus, Friends, Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew, Peanuts, Beano, Simpsons, Misc. Books, Bones, and Big Bang Theory.

They alone were my childhood friends-
Fictional, fairytale friends;
I first was befriended by Nancy and co.,
Then redheaded Anne, and so on and so.

My bookshelves heave with my childhood friends-
Fictional, fairytale friends;
Four little women in a Faraway Tree,
And Dorothea Callum on the open sea.

Eighteen, but I still meet my childhood friends-
Fictional, fairytale friends;
Eustace and Jill, more childish than I,
Rode an owl afraid of the inky black sky.

I'd struggle to go without childhood friends-
Fictional, fairytale friends;
Two Hardy Boys chased Peregrin Took,
And I felt acceptance first from a book.

What to say?

-I love Jesus with all my heart & I try to worship Him in everything, writing included. He has completely turned my life around :D

-I keep giving up fanfiction forever, in order to focus on my studies, spend more time outside, etc etc. About once a year, I have a blitz of my PC, deleting every chapter for every story I've ever written. Inevitably, I regret it, but it seems to be an unshakeable habit. I apologise for the delays this always causes.

-My "OTP" (silly term) of any fandom, ever ever ever, is John/Nancy from Swallows and Amazons, and if I had a hundred years I couldn't for the life of me explain why.

-My favourite authors include, but are not limited to: Jasper Fforde, C.S. Lewis, Tolkein, P.G. Wodehouse, Jerome K. Jerome, Keats, Arthur Ransome, and Edna Ferber.

-I used to be a one-ship kinda girl. I guess I still am in general; anyone can make exceptions. I wouldn't like Penny/Sheldon much in the Big Bang Theory canon, but I can't get enough of it in fanon; nothing is more fun to read than Zack/Brennan in the Bones fandom, though if it happened on the show, I would throw up and then break my heart for Booth. What can I say? Brilliant authors have changed my mind.

-It's always worth watching reruns of Gilmore Girls and the Simpsons.

-Student nurse here, and fascinated by anatomy & physiology; I have been known to take textbooks on holiday with me.

-Oh, one more thing? Plot isn't really my strong point. If you click on my "stories", they'll probably contain an abundance of semi-colons, several minor characters sharing one too many cups of tea, and some wry turns of phrase, but as for explosions, or anything actually happening? You're better off elsewhere. ;)

A/N 06.08.2011:

Some strange impulse recently led me to head over to the site where I first started 'ficcing', at the tender and unwise age of 15. All LOTR fics, since that was my entry into the world of fandom (and, if I'm honest, it seemed more than traumatic to start with, especially before I figured out what tags like MPREG or CEST meant, and worked out the rating system). Merry/Estella love stories was what I wrote, with the disadvantage that I was hopelessly in love with book!Merry, and oh man, can you say badfic? I'm serious.Thankfully I steered clear of Mary Sues, but my stories included, for example, some Orcs implausibly capturing Estella during a bad snowstorm in the Shire, and Frodo secretly having been engaged to Rosie Cotton before the War. I would go on, but I can't quite bear to. I couldn't even bear to read one or two of the stories-the ones where even the summaries made my toes curl.

The reason I'm putting this note up is simply to say that I have become aware of how horribly written my early stuff was, and some of it might be disappearing from this site as well. Some of it might be reappearing, heavily edited, but I am a very different writer at 21 than I was at 15, and I can't cope with having that kind of badfic on my conscience! I apologise if you are attached to any of them-some of my favourite authors have suffered similar realisations, and deleted plenty of stories that I love-but the ones can be edited, will be. I promise!

~EstellaB (Now you know why I chose this penname. I still quite like it though ;P).
