Yes more active thread would be nice but an active thread that is full of "How do you play on stick?", "They should add [x character]", "Top 37 favorite characters", "Why don't they make SF vs MK?" posts is iffy activity at best. | |
Hope the final release does support the ps3 fight stick on ps4 if not it will be annoying, I spent a good sum of money on my fight stick, replacing/upgrading buttons etc. Cheers for the link but if I was to buy a new stick I wouldn't go with that, like you mentioned it's to tiny, would have to shop around. | |
After waiting for so long to play the game, I just have to say that Birdie is awesome. I love using the big guy and man, the highlight for me, was using an EX Bull Revenger to jump over a sonic boom to win the match. I should have saved that lol. Also, Laura is pretty damn fun too; looking forward to Gief! =D
Well actually, I meant to say is that if more users interested in this game posted alot here and contribute good discussions, I think it would generate alot of interest.

Hey Tom, something worth mentioning is that a new adapter was recently released. TO's and Mr. Wizard at SRK are looking at it to see if it will be tournament legal and if it is, I think it would benefit you alot to save money. They're gonna give it a month though. So hopefully everything will work out. I'd say wait before they give their official announcement; I don't want anyone's USB ports be damaged. Here's the link | |

So i think I figured out what strength and discipline stats probably are. (Still no clue about Respect stat) Discipline is probably one of 3 things: Defensiveness of play Time spent with a single character Time spent in game? As for strength it seems like it could be Average combo length Aggressiveness of play Win ratio? | |

Chun is incredibly fun, I'm glad she's as exciting to play as she looks. I had no doubt I'll be maining her, I've mained Chun since SFII, but I was worried she might not feel as good as she looks. Charlie and Cammy had that effect on me, even though I still play them. | |

I'm enjoying Laura now that she's back to being a command character. That said it's not great that she doesn't have a lot of great options for combos or defensively, though she's got a couple good frame traps, but her v-skill is pretty... ugh. The kick part is unsafe on hit sometimes and and neither dash has any invincibility frames, and cant duck fire balls :( That said I'm still having fun with her. It's feels great to land a command grab either as part of a combo or just when you're close enough | |

Laura is really strong...she has alot of nasty set-ups and great pressure. Very good tools too. Zangief is alot better than I thought he would be; I totally understand why he doesn't need a green hand (though Dhalsim match-up is still as challenging as ever). You can headbutt through fireballs as well! But yeah, he's very good...especially the fact you can combo into his super. The best I can do is jumping d. HP, s. MP, then super for a full 5 hits of massive damage. I should've have experimented more...but on the plus side, you can totally bait shoryukens with his EX SPD! >=) Also, I dig the Underground tune and Zangief's theme! | |
here is my updated tier list after a few more thoughts ( IMO) S tier top tier mid tier Low tier FANG? this is my experience so far after 3 days of playing some character just struggle way too much vs other characters and don't have the options nor the right tools anymore to counter stuff with all those nerfs some ppl might place nash higher because of Infiltration but he is a gdlk player and could make every character look like top tier | |
First of all: LOL tier list after 3 days. Second of all: Tier lists are useless considering we already know for a fact that all of the characters are going to change by launch time. Third of all: Cammy is great, but she's not above Chun and Nash in this current state. Those 2 are really strong. | |
With it being a beta and all, I do think it's a little too soon to make a tier list but, it is what it is... Nonetheless, the majority of the roster are really strong. Vega & Chun-Li seem to be the strongest in the beta but, we'll see how time goes when it officially comes out. Only 2 more months till release! =D | |
naw birdie,in the beta test before it his down medium AA was stupid good,shit would beat out cross ups ffs..sim's down medium will always be annoying tho :P also pelvic thrust into air spd with gief,is the coolest shit so far. | |
^Gotcha, his medium is good indeed. I love Birdie, I need more time with him though. And Gief is stupid good too; despite the lack of green hand, he's very strong. I gotta admit though, I didn't try any of the V-Reversals. I had forgot about them...should have played Mika and give stunners to everyone lol EDIT: They recently revealed how the pad looks in hand. Well, I recently got the SFxT pad and I actually really like using it. It's sturdy, smaller but comfortable, and the buttons feel good. Whereas I have the Hori FC4 pad for PS4 and while I like that pad as well, the buttons I feel are a little too squishy...but that's just me. I would like to give that new pad a shot but man, it's pretty expensive... | |

The link re-direct me to the region page of GameStop (uk) I did a google search and went to the madcatz site. They have them and the fight sticks which interest me, I might get the 169GBP stick from them once they release, the pad is 49GBP which isn't bad, if I got one I want the white. This is the fight stick I am interested in

Regarding SFV I hardly know anything about it, been dodging info/footage until launch so I can enjoy all of it that day, let my eyes take in all the good stuff etc, the first fight footage I watched was that video solid posted and that's all, proud of myself for ignoring it for so long. | |
So had a thought today IF, MvC4 were to be made, who thinks it would be a good idea to do a MvC TV special using the Avengers Cartoon as a base (also this would help skirt around the whole, who owns the film rights to who, as Marvel has the TV rights to everyone) It would help spread awareness of the series to a younger audience, introduce said audience to a new cast of characters, and hopefully increases sales of MvC in the long run. Not to mention if they do a update for MvC4 every 2 years in the vain of "Super" or "Hyper" versions they could make another special to coincided with it. Anyway just asking as I might get a chance to "Elevator pitch" it during a New Years party ill be attending. | |
Tell them to make the game into MvC disney infinity figures DLC fest and then maybe we'll get one. $15 bucks per character, $45 for a team | |
