I was playing RE Zero. Going for no saves, no herb combination or first aid sprays and under 3 hours. I was right before the end boss and a frog grabs and one shots me. I was laughing my ass off but I don't fancy another go tonight.
The Order 1886 I played one level and nearly fell asleep. It took about 10 minutes for any non-QTE action to begin and once shooting commenced it took place in the most boring open courtyards with mindless AI. Awful awful. Not playing anymore.
Almost done with Far Cry 4 and just got to North Kyrat. Since I have almost all the skills unlocked and don't want to spend another 20 hours playing this game. I may just stop trying a stealth approach and go in gun blazing clearing out the outposts and Bell towers. And likely gonna try to take a Fortress without weakening its defenses by campaign missions just for the heck of it. Gotta have a little fun anyways. Overall FC4 has been an improvement over 3. Although there's still an annoying bug with the map menu and weapon wheel that likes to act up. And it turns out the auto drive isn't full proof as it twice ran over 2 merchants causing me -50 Karma points each. I wish too that the Far Cry team took it easy with the civilian kills. I haven't once intended to kill a civilian. And even if I did, so what. Not like they're vital to a mission or quest, and they're just a computer generated image. You would think with the drug scenes and how brutal some of the NPC's are (many of which you are forced to support). That the developers would get off the judgement seat and see that their game is anything but morally and politically correct. And that's honest perhaps the most annoying thing with Far Cry 4. Asides from me not generally being a fan of a developer who wants to tell you how to play their game, and force you to comply.
I started playing Freedom Wars recently, despite thinking it might not be something I enjoy because it looked like a MH-like game. I'm also not big on online co-op stuff in games like these. I'm glad I got it with PS+ though, it's actually really fun. Combat, premise, resource/manufacturing/upgrading system, accessory, world, graphics are all really nice. I like the verticality during fights and that the NPC aren't completely useless when playing offline (it's nice that it doesn't feel like it's lacking anything if you're playing offline). Now I understand why people said it's one of the games a Vita owner should check out.
I was recording resident evil 0 with my brother and friend and I thought it was really cool. had to lights turned off to make it more atmospheric. :D
I started playing Metal Gear Solid V, I'm 15 episodes in. I quite like it so far. I like the freedom the game gives you to complete the missions. I do wish the dropzones could be closer to the missions, there's a lot of pointless running/driving. I also really dig the licensed soundtrack. Oh and D-Dog is awesome!
Star Wars Republic Commando, totally badass game, love the hell out of Delta Squad, commanding a unit as a team is an awesome way of combining strategy with shooting, the only thing I'm not happy with was the ending, it felt like it was cut out, also there were times when the game was not well balanced, some enemies or sections were to damn overwhelmingly difficult and in those sections there were no strategic points in which I can place my squad, it would have been helpful if there was a way to manually command individual squad members without the need of pre-set strategic points, also would have been nice for the PC to support 1080p res, it would have also been nice to have 360 controller support, don't get me wrong mouse and keyboard was vastly more accurate and there were plenty of shots that would have been very difficult with a controll stick but its just not as comfortable for. still overall an awesome game that shows that jedis and bounty hunters are not the only awesome characters in the Star Wars universe, a sequel would DEFINITELY be awesome (but not by EA, I have already seen their handy work with The Old Republic and Battlefront, I want those pricks to officially hand over the Star Wars license to devs that actually give a damn about the franchise, cash cowing a series is all fine and good but doing a shit job at it is unforgivable)
Just finished Mario 3D Land on 3DS all normal worlds (1-8). Now onto the special worlds. Really splendid game.
Star Wars The Force Unleashed, this game is simply an unfinished product, crashes, glitches and bugs out number the stars in the galaxy , I'd quit if I wasn't dedicated to my Star Wars Marathon right now, this game is WAAAY worse than Arkham Knight in terms of optimization and to top it off its locked at 30fps, granted the game is very old its still unacceptable for anything like this to exist on PC, games should never EVER have framecaps, let alone be unfinished. Also game play isn't that great either, lightsaber combat is impossible to enjoy because the controls have terrible input lag, it takes almost 1 second before the button registers and to top it off for a jedi Star Killer is pretty darn stiff, his combos are slow as hell and they can't be canceled, and you can't move while guarding either, overall terrible game and would advise against paying anything above €3.
Sonic 4. Probabally the worst 2D Sonic I have played.
Final Fantasy Explorers. It's already hooked me as it is very addictive. I'm wishing I had stuck with the Witness though before starting it, but I'll try and play both side by side.
Currently playing Pokemon: Omega Rubin. Since it's my first Pokemon game i've ever played, i'm not so sure about the gameplay mechanics. For now it seems a little bit too easy and requires almost no tactics or strategy, will this change later in the game? Can someone help or confirm this for me please? I'm currently on Level 24 with my primary Pokemon.
Been playing Rise of the Tomb Raider and it's a great, not to mention pretty, game. I've put 10 hours into it in 2 days but now I'm gonna wait for my new GPU to arrive before I continue.
Bravely Default, in preparation for Bravely Second. While I'm only about 1/3 or 1/2 through, I'm loving every minute of it. Phenomenal graphics, music, and gameplay compliment a pretty-good plot with great characters. Probably the best turn-based "Final Fantasy" game since FFX. I'm excited for the sequel :)
I havn't touched the game, because of kinda bad reviews :/ I've bought it and it lies on my desk. So maybe I should try exploring this game. I still have to finish Rise of the Tomb Raider first. Really good game!
MGSV PP I'm honestly loving MGS 5 and find it quite addicting. I can see though why some people are turned off by the length of the game, not much story between missions. And how long its going to take to finish the game with the necessity of mother base development. And judging by trophy data, a very small amount of people got to the last mission. I do personally think Kojima Productions went a little crazy with the length of the game, as the series known for lengthy campaigns. And it's longer than the average RPG. I'm also annoyed how long its going to take to be able to fulton those resource containers. So I'm going to be forced to revisit each area I saw then in the future, and spend more money. While most likely having to go back via horseback. As for my progress, I just recently unlocked the Intel team and I'm at 6% completion. So there's a long way to go. Also have to mention the opening mission was probably one of the best in the series, and in recent gaming memory. As Kojima really highlighted the value of cinema and video game production, when you don't go for a politically correct story to cater to sensitive & easily offended people. But make a story very authentic and believable, because there is significant evil in this world. And some people can truly be viewed as expendable and/or a liability.
I originally didn't like how slow the story the moved (and how unrelated the missions are to the plot) but fortunately the story moves faster the further you get into the game. As someone who didn't do any side stuff, I didn't get the ability to fulton containers untill after I've beaten the game.
Metro Last Light (PS3) Started this yesterday, had it on my PS3 ever since it was in the PS+ service, but I never touched it (or played 2033) because I'm not a huge fan of killing mosters en masse in FPS. A couple of hours in I have to say it's quite good, I enjoy it. Hardware Rivals (PS4) This is actually quite fun, the beta had its problems, but I like the final product, although only for a few rounds a day. Helldivers (PS4) I just wanted to check this out, since it's one of the games of this month's PS+ service, but I got my ass handed to me on my first mission. Am I not supposed to play this alone? The mission I selected was supposed to be "easy", but I didn't manage on a second try either. I thought about downloading this on my Vita so I can play it when I'm on my skiing holiday next week, but if this is supposed to be played in coop I'll give up on that.
Well thanks for your personal input. Nice to have a better understanding of how the story flows so I know what to expect. Just also unlocked the Fulton container upgrade. After getting your R&D; and Support unit ranked up a bit, it's available once you get the transportation specialist in mission 10. Which I scored a S rank on my first try, despite having to infiltrate two bases. But it helps that the side ops provides opportunities to get big reward bonuses faster for better staff rated A or higher. Anywho, I'm 16 hours in and may be getting in a nice groove like I got with Peace Walker. As I took out an entire village of enemies while doing a side op with no alarms raised. Thanks to being able to miracally take out two enemies at once when my cardboard box was spotted. So here's a toast for more gaming.
Dying light | |
Batman Arkham Knight Sweet sweet game but there is one thing i don't like. It's Batmobile, it's unnecessary and parts where you have to use it feels forced.
Unravel the game is simply beautiful and enjoyable to the point of putting a smile on my face, fun and great head scratcher, trying to figure out how to egg from point a to b using the yarn is fun. :)
