and what are u trying to prove exactly? that im actually poor? lol.....far from it buddy.

Wasn't trying to prove anything. Poor and rich are relative. I'm trying to say that you're not rich enough for that type of lifestyle (not for under six figure annually); or in a simpler term: you fronting.

Clothes

A brand new MacBook Air with a new shiny Apple mouse and carrying case.

Can you please put a link or wrote saying that I was rich and all I said I was far from broke.I truly would be fronting if I was trying to impress people with a damn wallet lol.only my tax person at h&r blocks knows how much I make a year and how much money I have in my savings and retirement.and as far as she is concerned she always tells me I make too muchfor a single person in Los Angeles.i'm doing pretty well for myself.

4. there was nothing wrong with my 10 year old Vuitton wallet that i replaced. it still looks like i just bought it yesterday. and that's exactly why i love Louis Vuitton....in 10 years it still looks the same. that is a true testament to the quality of the wallets and high end products in general. you will have it for YEARS.

5. i can't believe all the criticisms i got over my wallets. i bet you people will collapse or have brain aneurysms up in here next year when i purchase my $1600 Louis Vuitton duffle bag. AND YOU CAN BET YOUR ASS ILL BE POSTING PICTURES OF IT IN THIS DAMN THREAD....ALONG WITH THE RECEIPT AND MY INITIALS ETCHED IN IT......you obviously can't return it if they etch your initials in it. hahahahaha i love my life.

Because it's LV. It's that kind of life style you're chasing after not a genuinely great wallet. I don't doubt that it's a good wallet but for $600 I bet my bottom dollar that one can find a superior quality wallet that don't carry LV brand name. It's actually not that much different from other things like cars or motorcycle, where brand name is often times more about showing off than it is about the products inherent quality. For example, Moto Guzzi have terrible reputation for reliability (and pretty much everything else) so their owners tend to justify the higher price tag with all sort of ridiculous reasons like "the brand has soul" and such. That's especially true with luxury products and large company that can't possible insure consistent quality for every product they make (LV has factories all over the world).

No, I just pity you. At least some women can be honest about the real reason they buy name brand handbags.

1. please link me to where i said i was chasing after this "lifestyle". you can't and you are absolutely putting words in my mouth and assuming all these crazy ideas of what kind of people are worthy of buying LV. and if we are going by your logic....probably about 90% of all people who buy LV are "fronting"....95% of people who own BMWs or Mercedes are fronting cuz not everyone who owns luxury cars are millionaires. or is your logic only based on people buying LV?

2. there is a HUGE difference between a $20 wallet and a $600 wallet. the quality is consistent and a large portion of what you are paying for is for the quality. my 10 year old lv wallet still looks brand new.

3. i dont know if you are spewing facts out of your poop shoot...but LV only has factories in Spain, France, Italy and USA. i dont know where u get off saying it has factories all over the world.

4. i can afford to pay for these frivolous things because i work hard to get it. nothing is given to me. if i want it i work for it. and if i wanna spend it on a $1690 bag then i will. to be honest i don't think i can spend $1690 at a better place than LV.....fuck buying a new tv or computer or tablet. this is what makes me happy.

1. lol i just dont understand the point of a wallet if you cant put it in ur pockets. its like having an iphone with a cord just fuckin cause. also it looks like a womens,

2. yea yea, "boss" thats what everyone would be thinking when they see it.......

3. yea i guess what spend it on shit you would use. thats what i dont understand about people with money and exactly why many people with money lose it all. look at sports players, they make millions but will be bankrupt by the end case they by ridiculous wallets they dont even use.

4. if theres nothing wrong, why replace it? my wallet looks brand new too i just dont throw it around like a moron. anything could last if you take care of it.

5. lol i couldnt give a shit if it had obamas initials and cost 30000000000000 dollars. the point is that most people think its stupid and a waste. congrats with your life i guess lol

Louis Vuitton has been in business since 1854......lol they must be doing something right.

CuriousMiLeo:

why do i have to concern what other people think of it? can't i just enjoy the wallet for myself. i don't think its a waste of my money.....cuz i can afford it. gay guys love fabulous things ahaha.

I can't believe people are still abusing you over what you do with your money, especially when everyone here spends hundreds if not thousands of dollars a year on plastic discs and files, which are also selfish indulgences.

If you cease to care what other people think then the whole point of designer shit is... there is no point. If we're talking cars or something, then the quality matters, and it's not just a fashion statement, an Aston Martin Vantage is more than eye candy, it's a serious machine, especially when compared to a Honda Civic, but a wallet is a wallet. The is no tangible benefit to an expensive designer wallet, the only reason to buy one is the feeling one gets from owning it. While you may have convinced yourself that you don't care what people think, that's simply not true, the only reason you got that wallet is because of what people think of the brand. Even how you feel about the brand is inextricably linked to the public's perception of it. There is no escaping it this was a purchase wholly steeped in vanity.

omg i love how you are basically telling me how i should feel about getting a designer wallet. it's like i can't have my own feelings about my purchase. negativity and jealousy goes hand in hand when buying nice things. nothing will change that. there will always be people knocking you down for buying expensive things. it's usually people who can't afford it that has the most to say about what other people buy. i haven't seen this much cattiness even in West Hollywood

if i just admit to saying that i bought this damn wallet so i can parade how rich i am will all the negativity stop? no cuz people up in here will find something else to bitch about with my wallets.

You can try and spin this in any way you'd like and play the victim, but I'm really not bothered. What other people think of Louis Vuitton is the most relevant component of why you bought this wallet. To suggest that you don't care what people think is to lie, blatantly. You can't square this circle bro, nobody spends $600 on a designer wallet if they aren't interested in what people think.

Light your money on fire, give it to the KKK, buy puppies and throw them off a bridge, I really couldn't care less what you do. Just don't try and act like you're not being vain as shit, because everyone and their mother can see that you are.

this needs a qft button. i said the same thing i do not care wat you do with your money, the fact that 'lol i dont care what others think about me" attitude is so dumb because clearly you care about what others think. thats why you buy a wallet that you HAVE to carry in your hand and that it has YOUR initials on it. your not fooling anyone.

I hope no one got me wrong here, I don't judge (or tried at least) him for wanting or buying those things, like mahchildren said, I spend much more on my gaming, and it's in € so it's even more in $.
I judge LV and the other companies for demanding these redicilous prices and I just can't and don't want to understand how a bag can cost so much more more than an high end PC.

Actually, I judge society even more for letting that happen, society needs a complete reboot, the words poor and rich shouldn't even exits in this context.
