It's been some time since I posted one of these, but as you could probably guess, the last few months have been incredibly busy. Most of my time was torn between getting the newest episode of Timeline out the door while ensuring that new Pop Fictions and Pop Facts were still hitting their deadline. First, I want to say I hope everyone has enjoyed the past few Pop Fictions, the new Pop Facts series, and most of all, the Kingdom Hearts Timeline. A lot of talented people here helped make these happen, and we hope to keep bringing these out.

Last month we announced some new additions to the Pop Fiction series, and now they're finally here. Today we posted our first installment of Pop Facts, a supplementary series to the main show. These bite-sized videos are only meant to cover a cool Easter egg or secret in a game that wouldn't otherwise make for a full episode of Pop Fiction. We had wondered how we could include tidbits like this into the show, and this was the solution we came up with. We hope you enjoy them.

So first of all, apologies for not giving any sort of update last month. However, a lot of things have gone down in the past few weeks, and now that the dust has settled it's easier to give you a proper update on what's happening. You might have already noticed that with the arrival of the newest episode that we announced the official 2013 schedule for Pop Fiction. That's right; you'll be getting a new episode on the third Friday of every month.

A few weeks ago we debuted the latest episode of Pop Fiction at the GT Film Fest here in Los Angeles, CA. This marked the third time this year that we've shown off a new episode of the show at a trade show/event. We know that many of the myths on this show tend to skew towards Nintendo and older games, but this time we decided to tackle something more recent – the hidden phone numbers in God of War for PlayStation 2. If you haven't had a chance to check out the episode, or if you only saw the trimmed down version at the Film Fest or during the stream, now's your chance.

Another month, another episode of Pop Fiction. If you haven't seen the latest episode yet, then what are you doing reading this? Suffice to say, I've had it with Mega Man 9. I still occassionally hear the Endless Attack music looping over in my head, and I just about have every screen in that game burned into my memory. It was a lot of work, and this is honestly the most effort I've had to put into testing out a myth yet. I can respect Capcom's and Seth Killian's feelings on wanting to keep a secret in this day and age, but I would be lying if I said I wasn't somewhat disappointed by their response in this episode.

So after a two month hiatus, we bring you not one, but two new episodes this month. Earlier at Pax Prime we debuted Episode 26: I AM ERMAC at our GameTrailers.com Film Festival, and today we give you Episode 27: Crash Course. Though I can't promise we'll keep up this rate, I do feel that the show is at a better place than it was a few months ago when things were feeling rushed.

There hasn't been a new episode in over a month, and the comments wondering when the next episode is coming still persist. I gave you all the explanation for why there was no new episode in July. The next episode of Pop Fiction is done. It's been done for about a week now, and as stated in the last update it will be premiering at PAX Prime during the GameTrailers Film Festival. The episode will be online immediately following the panel for everyone to watch, too. After PAX, it is my sincerest hope to get new episodes out in a more timely fashion again.

We're nearing the end of the month, and I'm sure some of you are wondering when the next episode of Pop Fiction is going up. Unfortunately, it looks like there won't be a new episode this month as the result of several factors, however, we have some updates coming your way starting next week to hold you over until the next episode comes out.

In case you weren't able to attend Anime Expo this year, we decided to record our Pop Fiction panel to share with all of you. By now you've probably seen all of the episodes we screened at the panel, but you should find the Q&A quite informative. The reactions to the new episode were great, and we had a lot of great suggestions for new episodes that we'll hopefully get to sometime in the future.

GameTrailers will be on hand again at this year's Anime Expo to host our Pop Fiction panel. We will be taking your Q&A, listening for your suggestions on new episodes, responding to your feedback about previous episodes, and finally debut a brand new episode featuring a special guest.
