PS4's Deep Down Delayed to Fully Utilize Next-Gen Power

Capcom's dungeon crawler game Deep Down was originally set for a beta release later this month in Japan. It would coincide with their launch of the PlayStation 4 on February 22. Recent news now has the game delayed until sometime after summer, according to game producer Kazunori Sugiura.

Go Back in the Jungle with Far Cry Classic Next Week

Ubisoft announced today that Far Cry Classic will be coming as a digital download next week for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. It's an HD update of the first Far Cry game originally released for PC in 2004.

Naughty Dog Brainstorming Ideas for The Last of Us Sequel, New IP

Ideas for a sequel to The Last of Us are on the table at Naughty Dog, who recently just won the Game of the Year DICE Award for 2013's PlayStation 3 title. It's finally receiving its single player campaign DLC next week and now creative director Neil Druckmann says that Naughty Dog has been brainstorming ideas for a sequel and a brand new IP.

The Last of Us Wins Almost Every DICE Nominated Award, Including Game of the Year

Last night, the D.I.C.E Awards took place in Las Vegas. It's usually regarded as the "Oscars" of video game awards and the winners themselves are hand-picked by developers. The game that won the coveted Game of the Year award goes to The Last of Us, which also won nine other awards including Outstanding Achievement in Story, Outstanding Achievement in Game Direction, Outstanding Achievement in Gaming, and more.

Activision: Destiny Will Be The "Best-Selling New Video Game IP In History"

Microsoft Will Get New Development Partner for Killer Instinct

Yesterday, it was revealed that Amazon has acquired Double Helix Games, the developer of Killer Instinct for the Xbox One. The free-to-play fighting game has been receiving regular content post-launch and the future of the franchise seemed unclear at the time. Now it's confirmed by Microsoft that it will be working with a new development partner for Killer Instinct.

Prepare for Delay: Titanfall Xbox 360 Needs More Time For Polish

Electronic Arts has confirmed that Titanfall for the Xbox 360 will be delayed by two weeks. Previously set to release on March 11 along with the Xbox One and PC versions, the Xbox 360 port will see release on March 25 in North America and March 28 in Europe.

Activision Appoints Sledgehammer Games on Next Call of Duty, Shifts to 3 Year Development Cycle

Activision confirms today that developer Sledgehammer Games will be tasked to develop the next Call of Duty game to release this year. Adding Sledgehammer to the rotation means that the development cycle for Call of Duty titles has extended from a two year development cycle to three years, giving more time for Infinity Ward and Treyarch to build their games.
