Sony announced at CES this morning that the PlayStation 4 has sold through to consumers 4.2 million units of its next-generation console as of December 28. Sony's new console reached the one million milestone within 24 hours of its release and went up to 2.1 million units worldwide by December 1.

Turtle Rock Studios, the team that has brought hits like Left 4 Dead and development for Counter-Strike, is revealing their new next-gen shooter Evolve, published by 2K Games. The reveal is made through the latest issue of Game Informer along with the launch of its official game website, though not many details are listed on the game's website at the time of writing.

Well, here's a big surprise for Aliens fans. Without much warning, SEGA has today announced Alien: Isolation, an all-new first-person survival horror experience that will focus on "capturing the horror and tension evoked by Ridley Scott’s 1979 classic film". The game is being developed by Creative Assembly and is due for release in late 2014 on PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
