Beta access to StarCraft II’s ‘Heart of the Swarm’ expansion has been extended to include a fresh batch of testers.
Consumers who pre-ordered the real-time strategy game’s expansion on Battle.net before Dec. 18 now have access to the beta. Additional waves of beta access will be granted weekly to players who purchase the gave after Dec. 18.
At this point, anyone can download the Heart of the Swarm client, but only players with the correct access can log in and play.
Certain retailers are also offering promotional beta keys to players who pre-order the expansion. Amazon is the only participant that Blizzard specified.
According to Blizzard, more details about the expansion will be released in the coming weeks and months.
