The championship dream finally died for No. 1 Missouri. The Oklahoma Sooners showed the Tigers just what it takes to win a title: defense and a bruising running game near the goal line.
What a wild and wonderful week for Missouri. The Big 12 North champions are ranked No. 1, their quarterback is getting serious talk about the Heisman Trophy and if the Tigers can beat No. 9 Oklahoma in the league title game Saturday night, they'll play for the national championship.
So what if it's a week earlier than Oklahoma had hoped for? The eighth-ranked Sooners will still finish their season in Glendale, Ariz., and that's good enough for coach Bob Stoops.

Today in the world of college basketball the University of Kansas came back from trailing 12 at halftime to beat the Texas Longhorns. Because of this win Kansas now is the Big 12 regular season champion.

Right out of the gate you have some key big name games, including Notre Dame vs. Penn St., and in the same weekend the OSU takes on Texas in Austin. Now I am not trying to be negative but the Notre Dame game is probably one year too late, look at the Penn St.
