Wearing a doggie lifejacket nearly as big as her, tiny 2 1/2-pound Mojito dipped her pink-painted toenails into Fassnight Pool and didn't seem quite sure what to make of the experience.
After visiting the Nathanael Greene/Close Memorial Park and the Butterfly House, we went to lunch at the most wonderful place called the Honey Heaven. Let me tell you it is appropriately named as it was a honey of a place to eat!
This is the second in a series of articles I'm publishing today, the first one was Dancing Butterflies and the third one will be about the restaurant we visited for lunch.
This weekend WordsPerSWade, Lilyrose who is my Sister, and I went on an adventure to a Butterfly House located in Nathanael Greene/Close Memorial Park in Springfield, Mo. Let me tell you it is a very magical place!
I've been trying to get a little more active of late by walking around the neighborhood. Seems as though there is always something to capture in a photo everywhere I go.
Monday morning is going to be a good time to go outside and look up. It might be a great time to take your camera and tripod and see if you can capture what you see.
On my birthday last week my Sister and I spent a little time at the Xeriscape Garden to see what new flowers were blooming and I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the garden looked.
Hooray! I'm celebrating my 54th birthday today! I've been trying to decide what to write about this week and thought I would tell you some things about the year 1955. So I went looking for some facts about what happened that year and this is what I found.
I ate my first tomatoes this week and I can say, they were very tasty! It is really nice to be able to just step outside my door and pick some juicy red tomatoes for my salad.
Well, here I am with a goofy grin on my ugly mug! I just ran across RottLady's article about do you remember when and ya know what?...I sure do...took me back to a simpler time and a better America...took me back to a quickly declining childhood and that is NOT being critical, b …
Well it's time for another pictorial update of my front porch plants. These tomatoes and green beans have only been in the pots for a little over one month! I now have tons of little green tomatoes and even more yellow flowers that will soon turn into tomatoes.
I was lucky enough to have a guided tour of the Dickerson Park Zoo this week and would like to tell you about it.
I had a request to update the pictures of my plants on the front porch so of course I wanted to comply. So without further ado, here they are!
Just one week later and I'm amazed at how fast these plants are growing! I am using Miracle Grow soil and I think I can credit that and all the rain with how good these guys are doing. The green beans have already started climbing the trellis.
Thanks to a whole lot of rain my front porch plants are growing like gangbusters! I was only able to get these planted in the last month because it was just too cool to get them started.
I can sit in my usual spot in the living room and see the birds feeding on my porch. So for my Good News Wednesday article this week I thought I'd show you what I see.
Sunday was a another great day in the Ozarks! I decided to celebrate it with the dogs at Arf Fest 2009.
I have just had my windows washed inside and out!
Recently my Sister and I visited the Xeriscape Garden here in Springfield, Mo.
Just over a week ago I quit smoking. I've been staying away from the computer lately because it was a trigger for me. Before, when I sat down at the computer I would light up a cigarette. It was just something I would do, whether I needed to smoke or not.
I haven't had any great ideas on an article lately so I decided that for this week's Good News I would post some pictures showing you how Spring has come to the Ozarks.
I was born 6 years after my Sister and it sometimes felt like 20 years difference. As I was growing up we had to share a room together, which really didn't bother me but as you can imagine it was really hard on her.
Well it's all over now but the telling of the tale's. Scott (Scoop) Butki has flown the coop with his ducks in tow.
Have you ever ordered something online? Well about a little over 3 weeks ago I did. I was in need of a step stool.
My last step stool and I had an incident that could have been really bad.
Today I will show you how the seasons have changed the view from my porch.
