Certificates of Deposit

Compare certificates of deposit (CDs) available from Scottrade to your local bank's rates! With Scottrade, you can choose CDs from various maturities (three months to 20 years) from banks nationwide – all with competitive interest rates and annual percentage yields.

For additional information on opening a certificate of deposit, or to learn more about today's CD rates and availability, contact a stock broker at the Scottrade local branch office nearest you.

Any CD sold prior to maturity may be subject to gain or loss. The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) insures CDs for principal and accrued interest up to $100,000 per issuer (FDIC Insurance Explained). Any account or deposits that you may maintain directly with a particular issuer are aggregated with the CDs for purposes of the $100,000 limit.
