Sorry if my recent column made you uncomfortable, it was intended only to be funny, I enjoy your column a lot. While I'm here, I'd like to ask the question everyone keeps asking. How the heck is Yuriy pronounced, does the final "y" matter at all or is it just like Yuri?

Yuriy the first comment I made on newsvine was on one of your articles. By the way, how can you be a libertarian communist?
I heard on NPR today that Kim Jong Il was originally named Yuri. I know it's not quite the same, but I realized that if anyone deserved to be a power-mad, renegade dictator, it had to be our own Yuriy Bilokonsky.

I regret to say that it just clicked in my head today that you are not the same person as Mykola. I made note of him long ago in my head as being "that smart, witty atheist guy with the name I can't pronounce," and thus when I saw your name floating around more recently, my mind went, "Hey! It's that guy!" But in fact, it was not that guy, it was this guy. Yuriy, you are awesome. The Bilokonskys are a force to be reckoned with on Newsvine, especially now that I'm aware that there are more than one of you.
Side note: How do you pronounce your name?
Yuriy makes me want to be a Bilokonsky. He cannot be placed in a box. He has an uncanny ability to open a very controversial can of worms without flaring up a non-productive gridlock in the threads. He also responds with great care (and humor and amazing speed) to most every comment left on his articles. He's no snob.
Yuriy is amazing, and I couldn't have made a better first friend on newsvine. I love reading everything he writes and would not be surprised if he took over the world some day. (in a very good-natured way of course)
he says that, but then he puts his comments as the first thing on his column | | \ /

In a recent surveyal of people named Adam conducted on Newsvine, Ron Paul is rating at two-thirds, that is 66.67%. This survey of Newsviners was conducted surreptitiously so that, unlike most polls, it would not affect its sample. It was therefore free of bias.

I've recently stumbled upon an article which manages to roll every last myth and misconceptions about Ron Paul into one. This was quite a find because now I can take care of them all in one place. One after another. Hopefully. They generally fall into two categories:

One of the common defenses for federal farm subsidies is that without them, the family farm would go under. But farm subsides have been around for over 70 years, and in that time, the farm population has dropped from 25 percent of the nation's total to 2 percent.

In a recent seed Noam Chomsky apparently responded to some of Ron Paul's positions. Several have called for the "Paul brigade's" response. I am a Paul supporter, but certainly do not agree with all of his positions. Regardless, here is my response to Noam.
