Each year FORTUNE magazine announces “the list” - the list of 100 Best Companies to Work For. We have earned a spot on that list every year since 2008. Add it up, including today’s announcement, and that is six times.
Earning this recognition year after year is an honor. But what we find truly humbling are the stories we hear from our associates — stories about their hard work, dedication and successes. Their stories reveal what really makes Scottrade a great place to work, day after day.
We want to highlight a few of their stories here to share with you what they had to say about working at Scottrade:
Travis T.
Branch Manager, Issaquah, Wash. Started at Scottrade in 1997
I have to say it starts with Rodger (Scottrade Founder and CEO, Rodger Riney). He has always treated us with fairness and has taught us to do what’s right for our clients. Being able to do that, share my knowledge with our clients, help them out when needed and get to know them on a personal level is the highest reward working at Scottrade.
Don T.
Sr. Branch Manager, Aurora, Colo. Started at Scottrade in 1992
To me, Scottrade is a great place to work because of its culture. I think the company, no matter how much it has grown over the years, has always shown how much it cares about its associates and its clients. From the top down, the company wants to know what you are thinking, what your ideas are, if you are content with where the company is or if you would like to see something different, which I appreciate.
Michelle D.
Branch Manager, Colorado Springs, Colo. Started at Scottrade in 1997
I have had so many great experiences at Scottrade and it has been amazing to see the company and the technology evolve. I can remember watching the computer screens in the Service Center in 1997 when we hit 1,000 online trades in one day for the first time, and when Rodger sat down beside me and helped our Service Center team until midnight check time and sales on every online order just to be sure our clients received the right trade execution. Sixteen years later, those moments and so many others still remind me why I love coming to work. Each day is different and brings new, exciting challenges.
Scottrade has Travises, Dons and Michelles all across the company and we’re grateful for their hard work and dedication to our clients.
What do you think makes a company a great place to work?
